Which city does Leizhou belong to?

Leizhou City belongs to Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province. Leizhou is a county-level city, not directly under the jurisdiction of the province, but still belongs to Zhanjiang prefecture-level city. Located in the middle of Leizhou Peninsula, it borders leizhou bay in the east, Hainan, an international tourist island, across Qiongzhou Strait in the south, Beibu Gulf in the west and Zhanjiang City in the north.

The administrative level of county-level cities in Leizhou is the same as that of municipal districts, counties and other county-level administrative regions. At the same time, individual county-level cities will be independent of the original prefecture-level cities and directly managed by their provincial administrative regions. Most of these county-level cities and prefecture-level cities have the same authority in economic and social management.
