Recommended tourist attractions include Hulunbuir Grassland, Beihai Park, Prince Gong’s Mansion and Garden, Swan Lake Tourist Resort, Daming Mountain, Huayang Mountain, etc.
1. Hulunbuir Grassland
It is the birthplace of many ancient civilizations and nomadic peoples. Donghu, Xiongnu, Xianbei, Shiwei, Uighur, Turk, Khitan, Jurchen, Mongolian and other ethnic groups once thrived. Living here, it is known as the "cradle of nomadic people in northern China" by historians and occupies a high position in world history.
2. Beihai Park
It was originally a lake in the northeast of Liaoyan capital, named Jinhai. The whole garden is centered on Beihai, where palaces were built in the Liao, Jin and Yuan dynasties, and imperial gardens were established in the Ming and Qing dynasties. It belongs to ancient Chinese royal gardens.
3. Prince Gong’s Mansion and Garden
It is the largest palace in the Qing Dynasty and was once the residence of Heshen and Yonglin. In the first year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1851), Prince Gong Yixin became the owner of the house, and the name of Prince Gong's Mansion came from this.
4. Swan Lake Tourist Resort
It is located in the shade of trees on the south bank of the lake. In summer, there are blue sky, white clouds, green mountains and clear water, green grass, livestock, and birds and animals. In addition, the quiet environment and fresh air have attracted emperors, generals, ministers, and literati from all dynasties to come here to spend summer and go sightseeing.
5. Daming Mountain
It is a green pearl on the Tropic of Cancer. It is rich in animal and plant resources. It is home to primeval forests, a variety of rare organisms, endemic species and ancient strata, containing oxygen. It is an original ecological oxygen bar, a famous health mountain, and a huge natural biological treasure house.
6. Huayang Mountain
The scenic area formed with Tianmen Peak, Huayang Peak and Sanbao Peak as the core is quiet and beautiful because it is located in the ancient "fairyland" place , full of mysterious fairy spirit, has always been respected as the "ancestral mountain" of Shunchang.
