Deqing county's delicacies include xinshi mutton, silkworm flower rice, orange cake, malt cake, fish soup rice, pork rice and so on.

1, Xinshi Mutton: Xinshi Mutton is a special food in the new town of Deqing County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Xinshi mutton originated in Song Dynasty, with a history of 1000 years, and was included in the famous menu of China. As early as the early years of the Republic of China, Jingyue enjoyed a good reputation in Hong Kong, Macao and Southeast Asian markets. The cooking of Xinshi mutton always adheres to the ancient method, and the ingredients are unique, so the taste is particularly mellow. Every autumn and winter, tourists from Hangzhou, Huzhou and Shanghai come to the new city to eat mutton. 3. Orange cake: Orange cake is a kind of white food like soft candy. There are some in bulk and some in paper bags. Up to now, you can still see the shoulder-shouldered vendors selling this kind of orange cake in the streets and alleys of Xiamen. The main raw material of orange cake is high-quality and pure glutinous rice.

4. Malt cake: Malt cake is a new name, which has three characteristics of fragrance, sweetness and glutinous, and has a history of hundreds of years. As early as the first winter, farmers germinated and dried the next year's wheat. Before and after Tomb-Sweeping Day, the cotton grass in the field was picked, washed and cooked, mixed with malt powder and glutinous rice flour, steamed and made into cakes, then sesame oil was added to the pot, fried with slow fire and eaten after cooling.

5. Fish soup rice: As early as wuyue period, the villagers near Zhuxia Lake made a living by raising fish and fishing, and formed the custom of eating fish soup rice. There is another legend about fish soup rice. When King Fangfeng managed the lake in Zhu Xia, he set up a cauldron to cook fish soup in order to reward his men. In the process of cooking, Wang Fangfeng accidentally poured the tea leaves of baking bean tea into the pot. After drinking fish soup, his men were all wet and cold, and the water control was more precise. Therefore, Xiazhuhu fish soup rice is also called "Fangfeng fish soup rice".

6. New Year's Eve: In the western mountainous area of Deqing, New Year's Eve is a custom handed down by ancestors. In ancient times, being able to eat pork during the Chinese New Year meant a rich life. Every year in the twelfth lunar month, every household will kill pigs to entertain relatives and friends and pray for peace in the coming year.
