Nebraska has six state parks and 66 recreational areas. Some popular tourist spots in the state include Indian Cave State Park near Shubert, Ponca and Niobrara State Park in the northeastern part of the state, Scotts Bluff National Monument in western Nebraska; Rock National Historic Site; Courthouse Rock; and Hall Rock (Jail Rock). The state has more than 2,000 lakes and thousands of miles of rivers, streams, etc., so the state offers many fishing opportunities and a variety of other water activities.
