The "Charming Xiangxi" large-scale variety show camp dance party was staged at the Charming Xiangxi Grand Theater, the largest ethnic song and dance theater in Central and South China. The performances include bull pushing, Maogus dance, wine sipping, Miao drumming, etc.
The Cow-Eating Sacrifice, also known as "Zi Niu" and "Puniu", is the largest primitive religious sacrificial activity of the Miao people and has a very long history. The main procedures include making a wish, buying a cow, opening the door, honoring the family, enjoying guests, setting up a memorial ceremony, redeeming one's name and profit, feeding cows with water, shinniu cows, individual visitors, etc.
Maogus dance originated from the Tujia people’s sacrificial ceremony. Tujia villagers tie straw as clothing and act out stories of primitive people, such as fishing, hunting and farming, to worship their ancestors' entrepreneurial merits and pray for prosperity for people and animals and good harvests.
The performance usually starts at 20:00 and ends at 21:40, lasting 1 hour and 40 minutes. Ticket prices are divided into two categories, ordinary ticket price: 228 yuan/person, VIP ticket is 328 yuan Yuan/person.
