What beautiful ancient towns are there near Hangzhou?

Hangzhou is located in the south of the Yangtze River, surrounded by many ancient towns. Now, I want to introduce you to seven interesting and beautiful ancient towns around it.

Coordinates of Tangqi Ancient Town: Yuhang, Hangzhou

Tanggu Town, located in the north of Hangzhou, is an important port along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. Tangqi has been the water gateway of Hangzhou since ancient times. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Tangqi was rich, ranking first among the top ten towns in Jiangnan. Today, Tangqi ancient town has always been a tourist attraction. There are historical sites such as Gengguangji Long Bridge, Guo Pu Ancient Well and Ganlong Empire Monument.

This Guangji Bridge spans the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and is the only remaining seven-hole stone arch bridge on the ancient canal. When you reach the top of the bridge, you can see a panoramic view of the whole ancient town. Shuibei Characteristic Street and Shuinan Yanhe Food Street are tourists' favorite places.

There is also a Chaoshan scenic spot in Tangqi, which is a famous plum viewing resort in China. Known as Shili Xue Hai, but I've never seen Tangqi's delicious food, which is fine in workmanship and full of flavor. Fine sand sheep tail, hairy balls and dried salted duck are all the best in Tangqi.

Coordinates of Longmen Ancient Town: Fuyang, Hangzhou

Longmen ancient town is located on the south bank of Fuchun River. There are many ancient buildings in Ming and Qing dynasties in the town, which is one of the well-preserved ancient towns in Jiangnan today. Most of the residents of the ancient town are descendants of Sun Quan, Wudong the Great during the Three Kingdoms period, and the clan living pattern is obvious.

Longmen Ancient Town has a small area, few people and a weak commercial atmosphere. If you are here to relieve the pressure, then Longmen Ancient Town is very suitable. You can stay alone quietly for a long time.

The few scenic spots in the town are also very lively, which makes you feel a sense of belonging easily. One kilometer away from the ancient town, there is a Longmen Mountain with waterfalls and farms at the foot. It's also a good choice to look at the scenery and try some farm dishes.

Guqiao Town is located in a forest on the banks of Liuxi River. There are many bridges in the town, so this town is very famous. Most of the buildings in the town are Huizhou style, and many shops in the old street still retain the front shop and back square.

The ancient town of He Qiao has a history of thousands of years. Old shops such as Xu Yilong, Jishantang and Hui Yuan Hall can be found in the town. Old buildings in the late Qing Dynasty still stand on the streets, and anti-Japanese slogans are still hanging on the walls. As for the slogan of the Cultural Revolution, it can be seen everywhere.

As an indispensable cultural totem along the Liuxi River, Guqiao Town has a beautiful ecological environment and rich products, making it a good choice for short-distance travel.

Xinshi ancient town is a relatively unpopular ancient town, and not many people go there. This is not without the unique hustle and bustle and commercial atmosphere of the scenic spot, only the deep life atmosphere and stories to be heard in the old streets and alleys of Shenzhai.

Xinshi ancient town has a history of thousands of years and has been an important commercial port since ancient times. The town has simple folk customs and talented people. From Lu, a famous Taoist priest in the Southern Dynasties, to Zhao, a modern theologian, they are all figures trained in new towns.

Old houses with white walls and black tiles and winding paths can be seen everywhere in the new city and the old city, and they all appear in the movies Lin Jiapu and Silkworm Flower Girl. The combination of European villas and China classical gardens seems to return to the Republic of China instantly.

Liu Tiantai, also known as Chongde Hall, is commonly known as the Red Chamber. This building is a classic of combining Chinese and western. Besides architectural style, Nanxun has many famous cakes, such as Ding Sheng cake and orange cake, which are classic snacks.

Tonggu Town, located in the southwest of Ninghai County, is also an ancient town that has been passed down for thousands of years. Qiantong ancient town is a typical ancient town in eastern Zhejiang. This village has nine palaces and eight diagrams, and there must be small bridges and flowing water in the middle, which is full of the flavor of Jiangnan town.

Qiantong Ancient Town is a small town with the most ancient charm of Confucian culture in eastern Zhejiang. Ming Lou, Shangtang, Five Blessingg and other places of interest can be visited. Most buildings are in Ming and Qing styles. The doors and windows in Liang Fang are carved with flowers, and the exquisite jumping fish horse head wall and the plastic wall flowers on the roof are very distinctive.

In the past, the architectural style of Tonggu Town was completely different from the traditional Jiangnan water town. Every family has carved beams and painted buildings, and every household has running water, which is its biggest feature. Besides, before going to the ancient town, you and I'd better go to Lushan Mountain to overlook the whole town.

Coordinates of Changgu Town: Ke Qiao, Shaoxing

Ang ancient town is located in the northwest of Shaoxing, adjacent to Xiaoshan, Hangzhou. It is a thousand-year-old Jiangnan water town and one of the four ancient towns in Shaoxing. It was built in the Northern Song Dynasty, but it was destroyed by the war. The present ancient town of Anchang was rebuilt in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Lisan Market along the river is a lively place in town. Anchang sausage and Renchang soy sauce visited by China on the Tip of the Tongue can be found here. Today's third factory can be said to be Xitang ten years ago. Not so commercial. Every shop in every street is full of vitality.

There are many scenic spots worth seeing in Anggu Town, such as Suikang Qianzhuang, Stone Carving Museum and Shaoxing Master Museum. Just buy a joint ticket at the entrance of the scenic spot. However, if you just want to go to Anchang to experience the local folk customs, you don't need to buy a ticket.
