Poyang Lake Migratory Birds Reserve is located in Poyang Lake at the intersection of Xiushui of Ganjiang River and Xihe River, near wucheng town of Yongxiu County. The migratory bird reserve covers an area of about 90 square kilometers, and consists of lakes, marshes, sandy land and lakes 10 lakes, ports, tributaries and bays. Floods in spring and summer are connected in this area, and ports, tributaries and bays are connected in the dry season in winter.

Because of the lush aquatic plants, abundant fish, suitable climate and no industrial pollution, it has become the wintering place for migratory birds in the world. The migratory birds in Poyang Lake mainly come from Qinghai Lake in China, the Great Northern Wilderness and Siberia in Russia.

Every autumn, a large number of migratory birds come here for the winter. According to preliminary statistics, there are more than one hundred and fifty species of rare birds and exotic birds in the nature reserve, including three species of merganser, spotted geese and bustard, as well as wintering migratory birds and long-term rare birds. This is also a paradise for wild ducks. Due to the protection measures taken in recent years, the number of migratory birds has increased year by year, which has greatly exceeded the number of migratory birds in the world announced by international migratory bird organizations. The total number of cranes in the world announced by the World Crane Foundation in 1982 was 820, but in 1983, only 409 cranes were found in wucheng town Migratory Birds Reserve.

Scan the birds in the lake with high-powered binoculars at the bird-watching stations in southern Liaoning and Wucheng, and the kingdom of migratory birds can be displayed in front of you. Countless colorful migratory birds go up and down, sometimes skimming over the water, soaring into the sky, sometimes hovering and diving, and then diving into the water to feed. Noble white swans, some flapping their wings and chasing; Some proudly stand tall and wander around; Some close their eyes and go to sleep peacefully. Hospitality ducks, neatly arranged, like two long black dragons, are arranged on both sides of the street to welcome guests from afar.

White crane likes to live together as a family and enjoy family happiness. The migratory birds in the lake area seem to be a huge orchestra. Great bustard sings loudly, wild geese sing fiercely, wild ducks sing crisp, mandarin ducks sing with their husbands and wives, and sweet love songs chirp moving. At the lakeside, there are hundreds of singers competing for their skills. Poyang Lake Migratory Birds Nature Reserve has attracted groups of domestic and foreign tourists with its unique charm.
