Zhenjiang Jinshan Scenic Area will resume opening hours in September

Zhenjiang Scenic Area is an AAAAA-level tourist attraction in China, with profound historical and cultural heritage, beautiful scenery, and majestic and primitive architecture. Recently, the epidemic situation in Zhenjiang has improved, and the scenic spots have met the opening requirements and resumed opening. See below for details.

Introduction to Zhenjiang Jinshan Scenic Area

Jinshan is located in the northwest of Zhenjiang, with an altitude of 43.7 meters and only 3 kilometers away from the center of Zhenjiang. It was once an island in the center of the Yangtze River. Later the Yangtze River moved northward. In the late Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, Jinshan was connected to the southern land. The scenic area is divided into two parts: East Jinshan Temple and West Central Cold Spring, separated by a spring road. Jinshan Temple is the main attraction. Famous stories include the White Snake flooding the Jinshan Mountain, and Liang Hongyu beating the gongs and drums to hit the Jinshan Mountain. Everything happens here.

Jinshan Temple, also known as Jiangtian Temple, was built during the Daxing period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (about 320 AD). All the temples and terraces in the temple are built against the mountains. From a distance, there are no mountains in the temple. There is a saying that "Jinshan Temple wraps around the mountain". The gate of Jinshan Temple faces west, and the main buildings are distributed from east to west. The process of visiting the temple is also the process of climbing the Golden Mountain. The main hall is surrounded by carved white stone railings and covered with golden glazed tiles, which is very majestic. Climbing the steps behind the Main Hall, you can also see the wonderful high platform where Liang Hongyu plays drums and fights against the Jinshan Mountain.
