For me who don't know astronomy, this is an opportunity to get close to astronomical observation equipment.

This is the first time that the author has seen so many kinds of Triassic fossils, and most of them were recovered by museum paleontologists. They also shared a lot of dry goods, such as the restoration process of fossils, how to distinguish fossils from ordinary stones, and the time required for restoration. After visiting the museum, we went on to Xingyi Wan Fenglin Scenic Area, which is the largest and most typical karst peak forest in China.

After visiting Xingyi National Geopark Museum and Wan Fenglin, the first stop of our 2020 "Tour China" Buick Chinese cultural tour is coming to an end, and the first stop destination is Kunming. You must be familiar with Yunnan or Kunming, because Kunming is one of the most popular holiday cities. Although the author has been to Kunming many times, most of them are scenic spots, and it is the first time to go to Phoenix Mountain Observatory.

It is 320 kilometers from Xingyi to Fenghuang Mountain Observatory in Kunming. Most of them are expressways, and there are not many vehicles on the road, so the overall speed of the team is relatively fast. It forms a VLBI network with Beijing Miyun Ground Station, Urumqi Nanshan Station Station and Shanghai Sheshan Station, and becomes the main monitoring equipment for the "Chang 'e III" lunar exploration project. And for astronomy enthusiasts, I think this is a good place, because in the popular science center of the Observatory, you can observe beautiful starry sky and celestial bodies through astronomical telescopes, and you can also learn about the application of ancient astronomical instruments, the ancient calendar and the calculation of the 24 solar terms. This is the closest to the stars, including the author.
