Passive caves are now located in Bashan Forest Park. According to legend, someone once held a candle to explore the hole and burned seven and a half candles, but there was still no end, so it was named "Far from exhausting its source" (Badong County Records).

Intermittent spring water flows out of the cave, making a thunderous noise. Water drops splash jade and water vapor is boundless, and it is injected into the Yangtze River, and a cool breeze brings coolness. There is a gorge in the cave, a tunnel in the gorge and a hole in the tunnel. There are stone chairs and benches for tourists to rest on the way into the cave, which is really a good place for summer vacation. It integrates mountains, water, caves, gorges, forests, springs and historical sites, and has two scenes of "Night Rain" and "Wudong Fairy Spring" in Badong's "Eight Ancient Scenes". It is the site of a thousand-year-old ancient city in Badong, and is known as "the heart of the Three Gorges and the gate of Badong".

(1) Wuyuan Gate

It is named after the underwater stone carvings "Liu Chuan Enlightenment", "Wudong Fairy Spring" and "Lingshan Holy Land" in the passive cave canyon. Couplet: "The Three Gorges is calm and the rain falls in the mountains." One is to praise the Three Gorges Project, the other is to express the people's good expectations for improving the ecological environment in the reservoir area, and the third is to decorate the magnificent scenery of the new Three Gorges.

(2) Golden Lovers Peak

The big white stones halfway up the mountain look like a pair of golden couple. According to textual research, Shangxie, a folk song of Yuefu in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, is a sad story: "Shangxie, I want to know you, and I want to live a long life. There is no grave in the mountains, the river is exhausted, lightning in winter shakes rain and snow in summer, and heaven and earth are one, but they dare to separate from you. " It sings five impossible natural phenomena to express the love loyalty between people. It is said that young people will never forget their feelings when they take a photo under the Golden Lovers Peak. The newlyweds will take a photo here to grow old together, and the old couple will clearly remember the time when they fell in love.

(3) Laigong Gate

Lai Gongmen commemorates Kou Zhun, Prime Minister of Northern Song Dynasty. Kou Zhun, a native of Shaanxi Province, was a scholar in the autumn of the Northern Song Dynasty (980) and became a flower-exploring lang (scholar first, runner-up and flower-exploring third). In the autumn of the same year, he served as the county magistrate of Badong, and he has been in Badong for three years with remarkable achievements. Later, he was promoted to political participation (at the age of 33). When he was appointed lord protector, he was already a teacher.
