Sichuan Tourism School is a public school.

Sichuan Tourism School is the earliest tourism professional college established in China. It is a well-known tourist school in China. Located in Chengdu, it is a public school directly under the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and it is also the Sichuan Tourism Employment Training Center and the Sichuan Tourism Vocational Skills Appraisal Institute.

The school has two campuses, Renmin South Road Campus and Shuangliu Huanglongxi Campus. The planned campus area is 534.5 mu, and 334.5 mu has been built, with a school building area of nearly 80,000 square meters. The school has five departments, including hotel management department, tourism management department, foreign-related tourism department, tourism architecture department, tourism art department and public education department, with 1 teaching institution.

The school has a team of high-quality teachers. There are 138 faculty members in the whole school, among which middle and senior teachers account for 70% of the total number of full-time teachers. Some school teachers were awarded the title of "National Model Worker in Education System", some were rated as "Top Ten Service Stars" in the province, and some were members of UNESCO World Nature Conservation Committee.

Some are members of the Steering Committee of Tourism Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education, and some are members of the Professional Committee of Vocational Qualification Training Textbooks of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. There are 15 people in the school as the editor-in-chief and presiding judge of the national planning textbook, and nearly 3 1 people participated in the compilation of the planning textbook and other textbooks and monographs of the Ministry of Education.

School characteristics

The school has eight majors, including hotel service and management, tourism service and management (tour guide), business English, marketing, public relations etiquette, property management, e-commerce, computer and application, among which the hotel service and management major has been identified by the Ministry of Education as the first batch of secondary vocational education demonstration majors in China.

Three-year secondary schools, two-year junior colleges and five-year higher vocational schools have been established, with nearly 2000 registered students. The school implements the credit system and "multi-certificate system", implements hierarchical teaching, pays attention to students' ideological and moral education, and pays special attention to the cultivation of students' language expression ability, practical operation ability and adaptability and innovation ability.
