When is the best time to go to Maitreya Bodhisattva?
Before approaching the top of Dagula Mountain, looking up at Beishan Mountain, there is a protruding rock peak in the dense forest, which is the natural Maitreya Buddha icon on Dagula Mountain.
At the top of Dagula Mountain, flags are flying and mulberry smoke fills the air. Surrounded by dense azaleas, the mountains are full of colorful azaleas in May and June. From here, the mountain road goes down to the south, and the mountain road is hidden in the vast virgin forest. About 1 hour 30 minutes later, I turned a hill and saw Yuquan River again. After another half an hour, there is a rest place called Qulang. Where there is water, you can take water to make tea. The Jade Quxi at the foot of the mountain flows through the narrow valley, and the two sides are tightly clamped, and the sound of water shakes the mountain. Approaching the Yuqu River, you have to pass through a deep valley and a dangerous cliff facing the river. Looking down from the cliff, I can't see the river, but my ears are full of roaring water, and a cold air rushes from my heart to my heart.
In 50 minutes, we will arrive at Yuqu River, with an altitude of 2520 meters. This path will be flooded by the river. Go further south and cross the bridge in ten minutes. This is a very simple wooden bridge, with stones as piers and wooden frames as bridges. Stones are piled at one end of the board and gradually fly out from both sides, and then the board is placed on it to connect the two sides. The whole bridge is arched and there is no bridge fence. Only one person can cross the bridge in turn. When crossing the bridge, the bridge body shook and the turbid waves under the bridge rose to the sky. Many old people, women and cowards come here only to endure pain, or to be helped by others, as if they had passed the gate of hell. On the east bank of the bridge, there is a rest place called Zhuka, which means ferry. There is a canteen and a dilapidated and mottled stupa. Records of the Holy Land records a cave where the great translator Piluzena practiced. The exact location is unknown.
The fierce environment of Xuela Mountain
Starting from Zhuka, climb up again until you cross Xuela Mountain and turn to the last pass of the road. The first hillside is called Daxuela. There is a big stone by the roadside. According to the records of the Holy Land, there are three monuments of wisdom, white, black and flower, which are here.
An hour later, I climbed over Zakagon Mountain. From Zakagong to the west, you can see Poza village in the southern section of Dagula Mountain. Yuquan River flows from north to south along the foot of the mountain. There is a village on the west bank about three miles downstream of the river called Yongri Village. Yuqu River turns a big bend and flows west under Yongri Village. It is said that the Yuquan River was whipped by Kawagebo, forcing it to turn west.
Legend has it that Kawagbo was sent by the Buddha to guard the holy land of Victory King Kong. After becoming the owner of the holy land, many fierce people who refused to accept jurisdiction appeared in many places. Among them, there is a river god on the Bangda grassland in Tibet. He collected some water from the snow-capped mountains and merged it into a Yuqu River, trying to destroy Kawagebo. When Kawagebo first came, he also wanted to show his strength here and subdue the regional gods here. Then he jumped up, raised his whip and snapped, What's the fish doing in Quhe? "I'm going to visit Han." Kawagebo asked: What gift did you bring to the Han people? Yuqu River God said disdainfully: There are no good gifts, only one hundred plagues and one hundred disasters. God Kawagebo was furious and scolded: How can I let a demon like you go to Han to harm the people? After saying this, he split his hand to Dagula Mountain and cut off the road to Henan. Yuqu River God was beaten with a scream and fled to the west in pain. In Jedaias village, he was driven back to the north and finally obediently merged into the Nujiang River.
From Zakagong to the east, the mountain road extends gently to the depths of the valley. Twenty minutes later, I arrived at Lai Village, a village in the valley. There are only four or five families in Lailai Village, and most of the pedestrians stay here to climb Mount Sheila the next day. In the virgin forest on the cliff east of Ryder village, there is a cliff where the devil and his men live. This holy land is described differently in various versions of the holy land records, which needs further research.
Climbing Chando Mountain from Ladd Village. The mountain in Xiangduo is covered with oak trees. This mountain is very steep. From the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, the mountain road winds around the ridge. People who turn to the mountains say that there are many bends and eighteen bends, that is, the mountains are steep and steep, and the journey is long. After 18 breaks, it takes two hours to reach the top of the mountain. The top of the mountain meets the ancient tea-horse road, the main traffic artery in Yunnan and Tibet.
