Did Du land in Zhejiang?

Typhoon Du did not land in Zhejiang.

At 8: 00 on July 26th, Typhoon Du was located on the ocean surface about 350km south of Eguanbi, Taiwan Province Province, with the maximum wind force of 17. At about 9: 55 on July 28th, the center of Typhoon Du landed in the coastal area of Jinjiang City, Fujian Province. Maximum wind force near the center when landing 15. At 8 o'clock on July 29th, Typhoon Du weakened into a tropical depression in susong county, Anqing City. Although Du did not come to Zhejiang directly, its huge volume and rich water vapor brought heavy rainfall to Zhejiang.

Affected by the typhoon's peripheral cloud system, from 8: 00 on July 27 to 8: 00 on July 28, there were heavy rains in northeastern Fujian, eastern and southern Zhejiang, and heavy rains in parts of Ningbo, Taizhou, Lishui and Wenzhou, Zhejiang. Four small and medium-sized rivers, such as Beigang, Xijiang, Fuxi and Nanguan River, tributaries of Aojiang River along the coast of Zhejiang, exceeded the police.

The causes of typhoons are as follows:

1, with pre-existing disturbance.

Typhoons are all developed from the pre-existing tropical depression disturbance.

2. Warm ocean surface, with seawater temperature higher than 26.5℃

Typhoons are formed on the warm ocean surface with SST≥26~27℃. Generally speaking, the global tropical ocean surface meets this condition all year round, and only the SST in the equatorial southeast Pacific Ocean is ≤ 26.5℃ all year round, which is the main reason why there are no typhoons here.

3. The location of generation is generally 5 latitudes from the equator.

Typhoons are all generated in the tropical ocean five latitudes away from the equator, and only a few typhoons in the northwest Pacific are generated near 3° n, while few typhoons are found within three latitudes near the equator.

4. The vertical shear of the whole troposphere wind should be very small.

If the vertical shear is very small, the relative motion of the upper and lower air is very small, and the latent heat released by condensation always heats the same air column in a limited range, so that it quickly heats up to form a warm center structure, and the initial disturbance develops rapidly to form a typhoon.
