Where is Chentang closed?

Chentangguan is located in Chentangzhuang, Hexi District, Tianjin.

Chentangguan, a famous place name in China's Ming Dynasty classical literature "Romance of the Gods", is said to be the place where Nezha was born, adjacent to the East China Sea. Its prototype is the junction of Chentangzhuang Street and Tang Chen in Hexi District, Tianjin. There used to be an ancient temple here in history, but it was not restored due to urban planning and other reasons.

According to legend, Chen Tang, the leader of the peasant uprising at the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty, was stationed in this village, hence the name.

Romance of the gods

According to the description of ancient novels and folklore, in the late Shang Dynasty, Chentangguan was originally one of Shang Zhouwang's sites, which was guarded by Li Jing. Nezha, who was reincarnated by Zhu Ling, took on the mission of cutting Zhou. He was reincarnated in the home of Li Jing and his wife in the early Yuan Dynasty and became the third son of Chen Tang Guan Li Fu.

Chentangguan, with more than 1,000 people, is one of the important passes connecting Chao Ge in the north. It is located on the Jiuwan River near the East China Sea, where Nezha bathed and slaughtered dragons. Li Jing's family lived here, and Chentangguan was once Nezha's earthly hometown.
