Zhongmen is a town in Xiuyu District, Putian City, Fujian Province.

The name of Zhongmen Town originated from Zhongmenfang in Tang Dynasty. Since the county was founded in the Southern Dynasties, this place has always belonged to Putian. They all use Putian dialect, and there is Putian in the southeast of the town. Wuqiuyu Upper Island and Wuqiuyu Lower Island.

Zhongmen Town is an economic development zone on the north bank of Meizhou Bay in Putian City. The north gate is adjacent to Wanping Bay in the east, Xiuyu Port in the west, dongpu town and Shanting Township in the south and Yuetang Township in the north. The total length of the east-west coastline is 18km. Most of the territory is hilly area below120m above sea level, which belongs to subtropical maritime monsoon climate.

Geographical environment:

Zhongmen Town is located in Zhongmen Peninsula in the south of Putian County. China geotectonics is located at the intersection of the eastern subsidence zone and Nanling tectonic system of the second uplift zone of New Cathaysian in East Asia, with faults in different directions as the main features. This place has belonged to Putian since the Southern Dynasties, and it is all in Putian dialect. There are Wuqiuyu Shangyu and Wuqiuyu Yu Xia in the southeast of Putian.

The town people's government is 28 kilometers away from the county seat. It is located at east longitude 1 19 04' and north latitude 25 1 1'. The mainland stretches into the sea, bordering Wanping in the east, Meizhou Bay in the west, Meizhou Island across the sea in the south, Dongao Town in the northeast, Hushi Town in the north and Xiuyu Town in the northwest.

At the narrowest point in the territory, the distance between east and west is only 1.5km, and the width of abdomen is 14km. The land area is 88 square kilometers. The coastline is 87 kilometers from west to east, and there are 16 islands around the arch, such as Shidao, Yu Shuo, Qingyu, Panyu, Menxia, Dayu, Xiaoyu, Yayu, Tiedingzaiyu, Pomegranate Stone, Huangyu, Huangniuyu, Jiao Xiao, Bai Jiao, Wujiao and Jiao Wai.
