Which direction is Guangzhou in China?

Guangzhou belongs to the "South China" area of China and is the core city of South China. South China, one of the China regions, is located in the south of the Han nationality region, which includes Guangdong Province, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Hainan Province, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macao Special Administrative Region.

During the Republic of China, South China included Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Fujian, Yunnan and Guizhou. 1945 after War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's victory, it was included in the provinces of Taiwan Province Province, collectively known as "six provinces in South China". However, there are many folk sayings about "South China". South China in a broad sense includes Fujian Province and Taiwan Province Province.
