The weather in Kunming and Chengdu

Kunming is as warm as spring in winter, because the quasi-stationary front in South China stays on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and Kunming is on the side of the warm front, so the climate in winter is warm and there is little precipitation.

Chengdu is located in Sichuan basin, which is neither cold nor foggy in winter. Because the topography of the basin is not easy to dissipate heat, it is warmer in winter than other areas. Moreover, the land pollution in Sichuan basin is serious, and it is prone to foggy weather.
