Why is Zhuozhou, Hebei Province flooded?
From 8: 00 on July 29th to 65438 1 on August 29th, 2023, an obvious precipitation weather process occurred in Zhuozhou City, Baoding City, Hebei Province. The average precipitation in the whole city is 355. 1mm, the maximum precipitation is 435.7mm in Lianghe village, and the precipitation in several township streets exceeds 300 mm. At the same time, due to the influence of upstream flood transit, the risk of river flooding and urban waterlogging in Zhuozhou City has intensified, and the flood control situation is very severe. Extra-large water flow is the root of Zhuozhou flood, and the topographic characteristics aggravate the flood situation.
There is no transition zone between the mountainous areas in the upper reaches of the North Juma River and the Dashi River and the Zhuozhou Plain. This kind of terrain will lead to the greater the flow rate and the greater the velocity. After the water flowed from the mountainous area into the plain, the river became flat. At the same flow rate, when the flow rate is low, the water level will rise, which is one of the reasons why the water in Zhuozhou is particularly deep.

At present, seven flood storage and detention areas have been opened in Yongding River, Daqing River and Ziya River in Hebei Province. Among them, Xiaoqing River and Langouwa flood diversion areas are located around Zhuozhou, and they are also two flood diversion areas of the north branch of Daqing River.
