The origin of the name of yuhua district

The origin of Yuhua's name comes from Yuhua Pavilion (region), which is not inferior to kaifu temple's "Holy Land of Ancient Buddhism and Taoism".

Yuhua District belongs to Changsha City, Hunan Province, and its name comes from Yuhua Pavilion, a sacred place of ancient Buddhism and Taoism in Changsha. Located in the southeast of the main urban area of Changsha, it is connected to Furong District in the north, Tianxin District in the west, Changsha County in the east and Zhuzhou City in the south. It governs 12 streets and 1 town, with a total area of 292.2 square kilometers.

According to the data of the seventh census, as of 0: 00 1 1 on June 2020, the resident population of Yuhua District was 1264895. Yuhua District is the southeast gateway of Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province, located in the center of the "two-oriented society" demonstration zone in Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan, and is the core area for Hunan to promote the integration of Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan.

There are "natural oxygen bar" Shiyan Lake, Tongsheng Lake, Millennium Temple Qingquan Temple, Hunan Forest Botanical Garden and other scenic spots, which are the first batch of national ecological demonstration areas and China ecological civilization demonstration areas. Yuhua District belongs to subtropical monsoon humid climate zone. Being located in a basin and far away from the sea, Leng Xia is hot in winter and has obvious seasonal changes due to factors such as the transition of winter and summer monsoon and the tilt of the terrain to the north. There is plenty of sunshine throughout the year, with an annual average sunshine hours 1762.64 hours and an annual average frost-free period of 296-298 days.
