What is the difference between Shanghai and Xuzhou?
Shanghai is south of Huaihe River, near the sea, so the air is humid. It will rain more if it is near the sea. When I went some time ago, I obviously felt that it rained more than Xuzhou, although it was not big. I don't know when it will rain.
Xuzhou is north of Huaihe River, not near the sea. It is said that the air should be dry, but the wind is strong in mountainous areas, and the rainfall in Xuzhou is similar to that in other parts of the north. Otherwise it will rain heavily. The mountainous area will lead to a little more rainfall, but it is still not as good as the south of Huaihe River.
Shanghai has a typical southern climate (more rain and less wind).
Xuzhou has a typical northern climate (more rain and less wind).
