Datong Ancient Town, Chishui City-History written in stone!

On May 7th, 20 17, after passing the Hongshiye Valley in Chishui at 4 pm, I took Suzhou Jinlong Bus to Datong Ancient Town, which is located on the Chishui River in Chishui City, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province. At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, all kinds of native products and raw and cooked medicinal materials on the border of Sichuan and Guizhou in Zunyi City arrived here, and timber and bamboo rafts drifted to the northeast of the river.

We walked in the ancient town, and all kinds of stone slabs were naturally placed together. The flat stone road leads the road to a new corner. Slate color, slightly red. Careful observation, as if to hear the knock, as if to see the rings of the years.

The most famous in Datong is the blacksmith shop. Small ironware such as nails and iron tips used in old ships have become the main industrial products of Datong. At its peak, there were 60 or 70 blacksmiths in towns with less than 300 households, and their business was booming. The elders said that there were few quiet times in Datong at that time. All day long, the tinkling of iron and the whistle of bellows accompanied the ship to the ship and shouted congratulations, and the excitement came out. Adults are not urged to work here, nor are children urged to study. When they hear the tinkling of the blacksmith's shop, they should do whatever they want.

Both the old market and the ancient town have experienced prosperity. Today, the clouds are rolling and the flowers are falling, which seems to be far away from the people in the ancient town. The old man sitting on the threshold reading a book is as calm as an urchin playing in the street. Those original historical features attract people to pursue, experience and feel the long-lost lifestyle. Blue bricks, arches and slate streets, where different dynasties interpret different stories. Nowadays, people's fashion shops and household appliances stores are also open in the ancient town. Not much, but it also conveys the atmosphere of the real society. In Chishui, you have seen waterfalls, Danxia, Alsophila spinulosa and Bamboo Sea, and then you can walk through ancient towns and streets.
