Red flag lapu weather

Before going, there was basically no strategy for southern Xinjiang. In order to be free and casual, the second half of the trip is fixed while walking.

I met two girls who are also free travellers in Kashgar. Asked if I wanted to go to the Hongqilafu port together, I realized that the Hongqilafu port on the China-Pakistan border was in Kashgar.

Hongqilafu Port is a trade port on the border between China and Pakistan, and it is also the only highway port in Xinjiang that is open to third countries. Located on the plateau at an altitude of 3,000 to 4,000, it is a border port with a very high altitude in the world.

Many people will choose to go to Hongqilafu Port, not only because of its unique significance and height, but also because of the scenery along the way from Kashgar to the port.

The car is driving on the Pamirs, and the scenery is constant all the way, including Mustag Ata, Baisha Lake, Karakuli Lake, Shicheng, Tashkurgan County, Jincaotan, and Hongqi Lafu Port ...... First Gobi and clear water, then snow-capped mountains and beautiful lakes along the way; On the Pamirs, there are many enthusiastic ethnic minorities, such as Kirgiz and Tajik. If you have the opportunity to experience it, you will experience the friendly hospitality and customs of these ethnic groups.

Baisha Lake:

Weathered white sand forms a unique lakeside landform, and also forms the beautiful scenery of blue sky, white clouds, snow-capped mountains, white sand and clear water. Baisha Lake has a long coastline, and different angles have different beauty.

On the plateau, the weather is changeable. When we arrived at Baisha Lake, there were small ice particles, the wind was biting, and the surrounding clouds were overcast and foggy. After a few minutes, the sky cleared up and the reflection gradually became clear.

Lake Karakuri:

When we came to Lake Karakuli, the sky was not very beautiful; Nevertheless, I can still feel the blue of the lake here, and the snow-capped mountains are close to the lake, and I feel close at hand.

Later, the sun shone, and Lake Kahu was more beautiful, but it was not recorded.

For travelers who have enough time in Kashgar, it is a good choice to stay one night by Lake Karakuri, live in a local tent, sleep with the snowy mountain lake and watch the sunset and sunrise. At present, the local residents here are also very kind and enthusiastic. They can stay for tens of yuan a night and provide breakfast, so that they can feel their life and the beauty of Kahu Lake more closely.

Tashkurgan County:

Often referred to as Ta County for short, it is located on the Pamirs, and it is a must-see place for the Hongqi Lapu Port. Bordering Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan, the county seat is surrounded by snow, clean and bright, with cheerful minority songs on the streets, and the air is full of flowers, warmth and soothing breath of sunshine.

If you have time, I suggest staying in Ta County for a day or two. You can go to some beautiful countryside around the county seat and feel the enthusiasm and folk customs of Tajiks. If you can't find it, some youth travel bosses here can introduce you and show you around.

Tajiks welcome people to their homes. Later, I met a girl and stayed in t a County for a few days. She attended a Tajik wedding in a small village below Ta County, and was warmly received by the groom's family and several friends. Tajik weddings are very grand, and people celebrate for several days with songs and dances and rich food. Men also held a fierce folk custom of riding horses to grab sheep. People are riding horses on the grassland, and sheep are being chased around. My friend said that she would always remember these scenes.

Hongqilapu Port:

Starting from Taxian county, through the beautiful scenery, all the way up, to the red flag Lapu port. I am still a little excited to experience this magnificent country surrounded by snow-capped mountains. However, due to the high altitude, it is not suitable for excessive exercise. Remember to wear windproof and warm clothes.

At present, there is a long dirt road from Kashgar to Taxian, which is extremely bumpy and takes eight or nine hours for one way. But the road being repaired represents the convenience in the future, and may also indicate that more and more people will go in the future.

Of course, going to ports and border cities requires a border card. To go to the Hongqilafu port, you need to apply for a border defense permit in Kashgar or from your own place of departure, and you can enter the country by applying for another permit in Ta County.
