Because I always insist on cooking and taking care of my health, which is the only thing my mother told me when I left home eight years ago.
I have many friends around me. They are too lazy to cook by themselves. They are used to ordering takeout and eating fast food. They think it takes time and effort to cook for themselves, but I have never felt this way. This complex of cooking by yourself comes from my mother.
I remember when I was a child, on weekends, my mother always made a golden duck, and I could eat an extra bowl of rice every time. Later, I learned that this is a beer duck.

Should I stop to be with my mother?
So I went back to Changsha again. After having a stable job in Changsha, I met a man who belongs to me. We have the same musical ideas and life goals. Although we only live in a small single apartment in Changsha, we still live a sweet and fulfilling life.
My mother does not object to or support my relationship with him. She just told me that no matter how small a home is, there must be a pot and two bowls. If it wants to last for a long time, it must make the house smell of lampblack and fireworks. In fact, I don't agree with my mother's old-school thinking, but when he pleasantly praised my beer duck for being much more delicious than the restaurant outside, my beer duck is now wrapped in happiness and the taste of home.
I want to pass on this delicious beer duck that my mother taught me to my future children, because my happy children in Changsha and I may have grown up healthily in the delicious Hunan cuisine and the warmth of our family.

Now I occasionally chat with many classmates on Facebook, and many of them are complaining about their lives, saying that they are not doing well, like a soulless body shuttling between cities. But for me, there is no such feeling at all, because I am doing what I like.
Green pepper and bacon are my new "friends" in Changsha. When I first came here, I was not used to eating Chili. When I ate it, my mouth was as uncomfortable as a fire, but now I'm getting used to it so well that jiaozi is going to put Chili sauce. Hunan bacon is my favorite now, because it goes well with my childhood partner's hot red wine. When you take a bite of bacon and drink hot red wine, the unique smoky smell of Hunan bacon is neutralized by the sweetness of hot red wine, and their fragrance is strong and harmonious in your mouth. What? You said you've never eaten like this? Think the combination of Chinese and western is very different? So what? I like it.
