What does mss stand for?

Mss stands for the Ministry of National Security of China.

1In June, 983, the first meeting of the Sixth National People's Congress decided to set up the Ministry of National Security in the State Council to meet the needs of the development of the situation in the new historical period, to defend and promote socialist modernization, to strengthen anti-espionage work and to safeguard national security.

Main responsibilities:

1. To study and formulate guidelines and policies for public security work, draft relevant laws and regulations, and guide, supervise and inspect public security work throughout the country.

4. Administering nationality and port frontier inspection according to law; Guide and supervise fire control work, road traffic safety, traffic order, motor vehicle and driver management.
