Diary of a Tour of Huangshan Mountain (Later) [Ming] Xu Hongzu

On the third day of September, May 5th left Baiyue Langmei 'an and came to Taoyuan Bridge. From the lower right of the small bridge, it is steep, which is the old road to Huangshan Road. Seventy miles, Sujiang Village.

Fifteen miles on the fourth day, I arrived at Tangkou. Wu Li, go to Downs and bathe in the Tang Chi. Look at Zhusha Temple with crutches and climb up. Shili, go to Huangnigang. The peaks in the clouds gradually emerged and fell to the bottom of my staff. Turning to Shimen, the more threatened the sky is, the two lotus tops are exposed for a long time. There is a gap on the east side of the road that has not been reached before, so go straight ahead and you will reach the horizon in a few days. Go further north and walk in the stone. Stone peaks are picked up one by one, and the route turns from stone to stone. Inserts are chiseled, steep ones are graded, broken ones are connected by wood, and hanging ones are connected by ladders. Bird's-eye view of the steep valley, gloomy, alternating with maple and pine, colorful and embroidered. Because I regard Huangshan as a wonderful journey of life, I have never seen it before, so I am ashamed to swim quickly!

After both husband and servant stopped the dangerous trip, Yu also stopped; It was a wonderful sight all the way, and I didn't feel like I was alone. Climbing to the summit, a temple is like a wing, and it is also a college of literature. It is unsuccessful to climb the past. Left heaven, right lotus, two beautiful peaks, backed by Yuping, can be pressed by hand. Looking around, the mountains are criss-crossed and the valleys are vertical and horizontal. It is really the best place in Huangshan! If you don't come again, how do you know if it's strange? It was brave to meet monk Chengyuan. It's past noon, and the slave generation is in the middle. Before setting up buddhist nun, point out two peaks. The monk said, "Although the sky is near and there is no way, lotus can climb it, but it is far away. Just look up to the sky and climb the shower tomorrow. " I am determined to travel around the world. Carrying Chengyuan and Nuzi down Xialu to Tiandu, climbing grass and pulling ridges, stacking stones to make blocks, and supporting the cliff when it is cut. Every time there are no hands and feet, Cheng Yuan must climb up and down first. Every time I watch it, why not? It doesn't matter. Adventure several times, and then reached the top. Only the top of the stone wall is tens of feet high, so it is climbing because it is far away to find its side. All the peaks fall, but the lotus is the only one that can bear the ear. When the fog stopped, every time it arrived, the opposite side disappeared. Look at the lotus peak, mostly in the fog. If you are alone in heaven, give it to the front and the fog will migrate to the back; If you cross the right, the fog will come from the left. Although pine still twists and turns, cypress trees are as dry as arms, and the stones are not as uneven as moss. The mountains are high and the wind is strong, and the fog will come and go. Overlooking the peaks, it is a blue sea when it comes out, and a silver sea when it doesn't. Looking down the hill again, the sun is shining and there is no other area. As it was getting late, I stepped forward, put my hands back on the ground and sat down to take off. At a critical juncture, cjay joined hands side by side. Risk, down the mountain, the color has been combined. Then enter the gorge stack and stop at Wenshuyuan.

On the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, Pingming, Tiandu Fengao went north to north, and the stone wall stood still. The Lotus Cave below is facing the stalagmites in the front pit, and a dock is silent. Don't go to Chengyuan, go down to the first seven roads and go to Lianhuafeng. Go all the way west along the dangerous wall, and then go down a hundred steps of ladder, and there is another way to reach Lotus Peak. I'm disappointed, but I doubt it. A monk shouted from the opposite side of the mountain: "This is Lianhua Road!" " Seen from the side of the stone slope, it is a stone crack. The diameter is small and steep, and the peak is full of boulders, hollow as a house. From there, the steps go straight up, the differential holes turn, and it's weird to go up and down in the castle, forgetting that it's out of the sky. A mile away, a thatched cottage, leaning against a stone. If you want to be promoted, you should be called a monk before. The monk's name is Xu Ling, and the knot is here, so he has a handle on his head. There is a stone on the top, hanging two feet, and the monk takes the ladder to measure it, and its top is natural. Looking around the sky, even the sky is bowing. Covered as the peak of Huangshan Mountain, among the unique peaks, surrounded by rock walls, it is vividly reflected in the morning sun, which makes people scream and dance.

After a long time, I returned to Mao 'an. I made porridge and drank a bowl. Down to the fork in the road, over the top of great compassion, up to Tianmen. Li San, go to the alchemy platform. When you get off the platform, you can see the peaks of Yuping and Sanhaimen, and you can see them standing in the middle wall of the deep dock. Its Dan Tai hangs in the middle of a hill, which is not spectacular, but it has a bird's-eye view of the emerald back, and the peaks in the dock are staggered, which will be shown last week and next week. After crossing the sky, go to Houhai and enter Zhikong Temple. Don't worry. Three miles, the lion forest, stalagmites, to the peak of the year, sit back and relax. A bird's eye view of the peaks and rocks in the dock is full of algae. At first, I felt that Kuanglu and Shimen were either integrated or missing, otherwise they would be enriched! For a long time, when the upper floor approached the cliff and overlooked the pier, Yin Yin felt different. After returning to the peak side of Shanggang, practice flowing stones to help stab grass, and go down with the pit, sinking deeper and deeper, and the peaks cover themselves. At dusk, return to the lion forest.

On the sixth day, without light, I went down to see the Prime Minister from the pit. Qili, to Baishaling. Xia Guang came back, because he wanted to see the memorial stone, but he was afraid that Baisha Temple had no fingers, so he chased it as a guide. So I went up to the upper ridge, which refers to the right slope of the ridge. There are stone clusters, which are divided into upper and lower points, which are the archway stones. I want to cross the pit back to the stream and let it go straight down. The monk said, "If the thorn is lost, you can't go. If this pit goes down to the original place of the Prime Minister, there is no need to go back to this ridge. " If you want to go from the fairy lamp, if you don't want to, go east from this ridge. "I followed it and walked along the ridge. The ridge spans the sky and the north of the lotus, and it is too narrow to accommodate it. Both north and south worship the peak. As for Lingbei, I looked up at the Luohanshi in the right peak, and my head was bald, just like two monks. Down to the pit, across the stream, * * * forty miles, Dengxian Lantern Cave. The cave faces south, facing the shadow of the sky. The monk pavilion is connected with the outside, but the interior is still magnificent and has endless interest in nature. Three miles south, past the prime minister's court, there is a clip in the mountain. Its buddhist nun is quite neat, and it's not surprising to look around, but it doesn't get in. Walking five miles south along the mountainside, gradually descending, the spring water in the stream boiled and poured down from the ninth-grade stone room. Each floor has a deep pool, the so-called Jiulong Lake. There is no waterfall in Huangshan Mountain, only this ear. Go down five miles, cross Kuzhutan, turn on Taiping County Road, and go northeast.

On the third day of September in the forty-sixth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, our party left Langmei Temple in Baiyue Mountain and arrived at Taoyuan Bridge. From the right side of the small bridge, the mountain road is extremely steep, which is the road we took last time we visited Huangshan. Go straight for seventy miles and stay in Jiangcun for the night.

On the fourth day, walk fifteen miles to Tangkou. Five miles later, I came to Downs, took a bath in Tang Chi, and climbed in the direction of Zhusha Temple with crutches. After walking ten miles, I climbed the Huangnigang, and the mountain peaks that had been shrouded in clouds gradually emerged and fell under my vines. Turn to Shimen, cross Tiandufeng halfway up the mountain, Tiandufeng and Lianhua two peaks stand in the air with beautiful heroic posture. There is an east-facing fork in the road, but it's a place I've never been before, so I go straight ahead and almost reach Tiandu Peak. Further north, climb in the crevices. I saw mountains and peaks on both sides, and the mountain road twists and turns among the rocks. When rocks are blocked, they will pass through it. When the cliff is steep, they will build stone steps. When the wall is broken, they will build a wooden bridge to repair it. When they meet cliffs, they will build ladders to connect them. Overlooking the lonely valley, it was gloomy. Maple and pine trees are intertwined and colorful, just like painting. Therefore, it is a miracle that I have seen in my life to think that Huangshan is worthy of it. It is strange that I have never explored it before. This revisit is both a pleasure and a shame.

At this time, the porters and servants were left behind because of the dangers of the mountain road, and I stopped and stopped going up. But the wonders along the way unconsciously attracted me to go alone. As soon as you climb the mountain, you can see the eaves of a Buddhist temple, like a bird spreading its wings, and that is the Wenshuyuan. This is also the place I wanted to go last time, but I didn't go. On the left of Wenshuyuan is Tiandu Peak, on the right is Lotus Peak, and behind it is Yuping Peak. The beautiful scenery of Tiandu and Lotus Peak is almost within reach. Looking around, I saw strange peaks and rocks and countless valleys criss-crossing, which is indeed the most charming place in Huangshan Mountain. If it weren't for this revisit, how would we know that Huangshan Mountain is so magical? Just as the wandering monk Chengyuan arrived, he was very happy. It was past noon when the servants came up, and everyone stood in front of the Wenshuyuan, pointing to the peaks on the left and right. The monk in the temple said, "Tiandu Peak is near, but there is no way to climb. Lotus peak can be climbed, but it's a long way. So we are going to see the nearby Tiandu Peak and climb the Lotus Peak tomorrow. " I didn't want to listen, so I made up my mind to go to Tiandufeng, and then I held Chengyuan and my servant and still went down the gorge to Tiandufeng. Then he fell from the flowing rocks under the impact of the stream and climbed up, or grabbed weeds or pulled thorns, crossed the clusters of rocks and climbed the cut cliff. Where his hands and feet can't touch the ground, Cheng Yuan always climbs up first and then puts down his hand to pick him up. I always find it difficult to go up the mountain. How can I go down the mountain? But in the end, I can't care about this. After many difficulties, I finally reached the top of Tiandu Peak. I saw a cliff stone standing upright like a wall, about tens of feet high. Chengyuan looked at its side and found a stone step, so he helped me climb it. Just looking at Qianshan Wanling is more than one bargained for, and the unique Lotus Peak competes with it. At this time, the dense fog rises and falls, and every time it floats, even the opposite side can't be seen. Overlooking the peaks such as lotus, most of them are submerged in clouds. Only when I climbed Tiandu Peak, I got to the front of the peak and the cloud moved to the back. When I came to the back of the peak, the clouds came from the left of the peak. There are tall and straight pine trees on the peak, criss-crossing, while cypress trees are as dry as arms and stuck on the cliff like moss. The mountains are high and windy, and the fog is erratic. Looking down at the peaks, the green spires are exposed for a while, and then they are submerged in a silver ocean. Looking down the hill, I saw the sun shining brightly, as if it were another world. Twilight came gradually, so everyone put their feet forward, put their hands back on the ground and sat down; When you arrive at a very dangerous place, Sheng Yuan greets each other with his shoulders and hands. Through the danger zone, down to the mountain, the night has covered the earth. Then climb the plank road from the canyon and stay in Wenshuyuan.

On the fifth day, at first light, I got off Erli Road from the middle of Tiandufeng Mountain, where the stone walls were deep. The Lotus Cave below is just opposite to the stalagmites in the front pit, which is extremely quiet in the ravine. Say goodbye to Chengyuan, go down the mountain to the fork in the front, and then go to Lotus Peak. Along the way, I walked west along the precipice, going up and down many times. When I was about to descend the 100-step ladder, there was a road leading directly to Lotus Peak. After boarding, I couldn't find the stone steps, so I became suspicious and came down again. A monk opposite shouted, "This is the way to climb the Lotus Peak!" So from the side of the stone slope through the stone gap, the mountain road is narrow and steep, the peak is full of huge stones standing opposite, and the middle is empty. Straight up and down from the middle stone steps, the steps turn around, and the twists and turns are bizarre, just like going up and down in a castle, almost forgetting that it stands high in the sky. After walking a mile, I saw a small house, leaning in a crack in the stone. Just when I hesitated to climb up again, I saw the monk who had just asked for directions loudly coming. The monk's name is Xu Ling, and there is a Mao An here. So I climbed to the top of the mountain arm in arm with him. There is a cliff stone hanging for two feet on the top. Xu Ling moved a ladder to climb it, and the top of the mountain was very empty. Looking around, the sky is blue, and even Tiandufeng seems to have bowed his head. Because this peak lives in the middle of Huangshan Mountain, it stands independently above the peaks and is surrounded by rock walls. When the morning sun rises and the weather is fine, the layers of peaks reflect bright colors, making people scream and dance.

I stayed at the summit for a long time before returning to Ma 'anshan. Monk Xu Ling brought porridge to entertain me, and I drank a alms bowl. So he went down to the fork, crossed the Great Compassion Peak and climbed the Tianmen. Walk about three miles to the alchemy platform. When you get off the platform, you can see the peaks such as Yuping Peak and Sanhaimen, all of which rise from the deep valley like a wall. The alchemy platform stands upright in the mountains, without any strangeness and danger. Just overlooking the back of Cuiwei Peak, the peaks in the mountain dock stand in a staggered way, and the top and bottom are in harmony. Unless you are there, you can't appreciate the wonders of mountains and rivers. Go back through Pingtianzhi, go down to Houhai, step into the Buddhist temple hosted by monk Zhikong and say goodbye to him. After walking three miles, I went down to the lion forest, walked to the stalagmite, reached the top of the mountain where I had been before, and sat with my back against the pine tree. Overlooking the mountain pier, the peaks are stacked with stones, forming a circle, and the eyes are full of picturesque scenery. I feel that Lushan Mountain and Shimen Mountain only have a certain attitude of Huangshan Mountain, or they lack a certain aspect of Huangshan Mountain and are not as rich as Huangshan Mountain. After watching it for a long time, I climbed up the approach cliff. Looking down at the mountain pier, I feel gloomy and have an inexplicable interest. Back to the peak of the mountain, I stepped on the falling stone and pulled the thorns and weeds down the pit, getting deeper and deeper. The peaks covered each other and there was no end in sight. When the sun went down, I returned to the lion forest.

On the sixth day, I bid farewell to the monk Xia Guang and went down to the original direction of the Prime Minister. After walking seven miles, I came to Baishaling. Monk Xia Guang came later. Because he wanted to see the memorial stone, he was worried that Baisha Temple had no guide, so he chased after it as a guide. So they climbed Baishaling together, and Xia Guang pointed to the hillside opposite the right side of the ridge. There are cluster stones standing, with the lower part separated and the upper part closed, which are said to be memorial stones. I want to go through the pit, go up the mountain stream, and then go straight down. Xia Guang said: "Thorns cover the fans, and the mountain road is impassable, so it will definitely be impassable. If you go straight down from the pit to the prime minister, you don't need to go on this hurdle; If you want to go from Deng Xiandong, you might as well go east from here. " I followed his advice and walked along the ridge. Baishaling stretches across the sky, north of Lotus Peak, so narrow that there is hardly room for one foot on the roadside. The mountains on the north and south sides overlap. At the end of Baishaling, I went down to the north and looked up at the Luohan stone on the right peak, with a bald head like two monks. Down to the pit, up the mountain stream, * * * forty miles, boarded the fairy lantern cave. The mouth of the cave faces south, facing the north of Tiandu Peak. Monks built a plank road outside the cave, but the cave is still so vast and deep, maintaining a natural flavor. Three miles south, past the prime minister's court, is just a long and narrow flat land in the mountains. There is a Buddhist temple built quite neatly. Looking around, there was nothing unusual, but finally I didn't go in. Then I walked five miles south along the mountainside and gradually descended the mountain. Suddenly I heard the sound of spring water coming from the mountain stream. The spring water flows down from the rock in nine grades, and there is a deep blue pool under each grade, which is the so-called Jiulongtan. There are no other waterfalls in Huangshan except this pool. Then go down the mountain for five miles, cross Kuzhutan, turn along the road in Taiping County, and go northeast.
