Garden Expo Park is located in Futian District, Shenzhen, covering an area of 66 hectares. The master plan of the park was compiled by Meng, an academician of China Academy of Engineering. Based on the concept of "harmony between man and nature, harmony between man and nature", the natural landscape of the original site was used to create a natural and beautiful overall environment. According to the plan, there are one tower, two pavilions, three bridges, four lakes and six parks in the park, and 45 construction projects have been completed.

At the highest place of the Garden Expo Park, a nine-story octagonal imitation wood brick tower became the landmark building of the Garden Expo Park. In order to reflect the regional characteristics of Futian District, it was named "Fengtai".
