Sanya is the hottest place in southwest Hainan.

Hainan gets hotter as it goes south. The hottest is Sanya, and it's 32 degrees in the daytime. But if Sansha City is included, it is the hottest.

Hainan Island is located in the south of the Tropic of Cancer, surrounded by the sea, and has a tropical monsoon climate. This climate has high temperature all year round, abundant annual precipitation, and obvious dry season and rainy season. However, the climate in Hainan Island is somewhat different. The southwest of Hainan Island is not vulnerable to typhoons. After the southwest monsoon from the Indian Ocean passes through the Indo-China Peninsula, the water vapor decreases, resulting in less rainy weather, more sunny days and hotter weather in the southwest of Hainan Island.
