Introduction of Weishui Reservoir

Weishui Reservoir is located in the southwest of Songzi City, Hubei Province, and is named after intercepting water to build the reservoir. Construction started in September 1958. In 197, the reservoir was completed with a length of 14.5 kilometers from east to west, a width of 6 kilometers from north to south, and a normal water surface area of 37 square kilometers. The total storage capacity is 593 million cubic meters and the effective storage capacity is 39 million cubic meters. The dam is 164 meters long, 9 meters wide at the top and 42.7 meters high. The discharge of spillway is 618 cubic meters per second.
