Which province is Zigong?

Zigong is a city in Sichuan Province.

Zigong is located in the south of Sichuan Basin, bordering Neijiang in the north, Luzhou in the east, Yibin in the south and Leshan in the west. It is an old industrial city in Sichuan Province, a national historical and cultural city, a national health city, an excellent tourist city in China and a provincial civilized city. It has jurisdiction over Ziliujing, Gongjing, Daan, Yantan, Rongxian and Fushun counties, covering an area of 4,373 square kilometers.

Zigong "set up a city because of salt", and the words "zi" and "gong" come from the names of two salt wells, Ziliujing and Gongjing. It is also an important producer of dinosaur fossils in China, and is known as the "hometown of dinosaurs".
