Brief introduction of Guiyuan Temple
The life of the second year of high school has just started for a short month, but I have encountered many troubles.
I want to go to Guiyuan Temple in the last few days of the short holiday, so I can have a quiet time. First, after encountering a series of unpleasant things, people always pin their turning point on other people or things.
Furthermore, knowing that Guiyuan Temple is full of incense and unique architecture, there is a desire to see it.
The weather was just right that day, and it cleared up after a gloomy day. The temple is hidden in the bustling business district. It's far from the subway. You can't see the temple until you walk to the end of the road. There is a feeling of being hidden in the city. After buying the ticket, each person can get three sticks of incense, and the incense is burning at the entrance, and the incense is diffuse. I will smell it before entering the temple.
Before going to the temple, I checked the taboos of Guiyuan Temple on the Internet, but I forgot to clean it when I entered the temple, and I was only shocked by what I saw. This temple is the architectural feature of standard Jiangnan gardens. Except for the Buddha statue, you will feel that you are in the yard of a family in the south of the Yangtze River.
The entrance is a prayer clock. Tourists ring the bell and reverberate in the temple, attracting attention. The first thing that attracted me was the Sutra Pavilion, a magnificent and exquisite pavilion, just opposite me. On the plaque, there are four characters inscribed by Li: "victory, greatness and broadness". In early autumn, the osmanthus trees outside the museum exude fresh fragrance and have unspeakable feelings.
After visiting the entrance courtyard, go to Luohan Temple. Counting Luohan is the characteristic of Guiyuan Temple and the purpose of my visit. Although I have no religious belief, I still hope to dispel the haze in this way.
There are 500 arhats with different shapes and expressions in the hall. I chose a man with the Diamond Sutra in his hand, and the peaceful arhat began to count. I counted the age, Manna Buddha. As I wish, holding hands and smiling is a good sign, and the burden in my heart finally falls to the ground.
Outside Luohan Hall, you will see the double-sided Guanyin in the center of the square and the Tongyuan Pavilion in the distance. There are carved Buddha statues on the wall of Tongyuan Pavilion, which reminds me of the flying murals in Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes. Tong Yuan Pavilion is very high. In appearance, it looks a bit like the Yellow Crane Tower.
Unfortunately, the entrance upstairs was blocked, and there was no view of the temple from the top of the pavilion. What a pity.
What surprised me most about this visit to Guiyuan Temple was the Pharmacist Hall that I almost missed. I didn't mean to go to the pharmacist's hall. Outside the hall is a small yard surrounded by trees. There is a stone bench in the yard, and there is a unique small window behind it. There are few tourists in the temple, and there are no traces of the temple. Sitting on a stone bench, the breeze is blowing gently, mixed with the fragrance of osmanthus. Close your eyes, as if you can see a refined pharmacist teaching his disciples to refine medicine in the yard. For a moment, I was in a trance.
I suddenly envy people who have lived here since childhood. Drums beat in the morning and evening, the world of mortals was shattered, incense was covered, and the whole body was calm and indifferent. In the morning, I recited the scriptures in the temple, sat quietly on the stone bench when I had nothing to do, and practiced in a wide field at night. The afterglow of the sunset and the fists and sticks of your Excellency Tong Yuan all amazed young people. For a moment, I felt that if I could, the monk wished it was me.
I woke up in a thousand years' dream. Sitting on the stone bench, I am a wisp of incense, a monk who returned from practice, and a little urchin who listened to the tireless teachings of a refined pharmacist thousands of years ago.
