What are the legends of martel site?

On the southeast side of Pohnpei Island in the South Pacific, there is an island called Timon. On the shoal of coral reef extending from this island, buildings more than 4 meters high are criss-crossed with huge basalt columns. From a distance, they are rugged and considered as masterpieces left by nature, while from a close distance, they seem like temples. This is the remains of Nan martel. It is said that this is the tomb of the chiefs who lived in Pohnpei after their death. There are 89 large and small * * * scattered in the Pacific Ocean, with a length of 1 100 meters and a width of 450 meters. They are separated by water to form islands. From the air, it looks like Venice, a water city in Italy, so people compare it to Venice in the Pacific Ocean.

Locals call these huge stone ruins Nan martel, which has two meanings in Bonaparte, one meaning "many homes are concentrated" and the other meaning "the universe around the island". Half of these relics are submerged in seawater, so people can only enter by boat at high tide. When the tide ebbs, there is a muddy swamp around the ruins, so the boat can only lean nearby and can't get in at all.

Compared with the stone ruins on Easter Island in the Pacific Ocean, the ruins in South martel are little known and full of bizarre legends, which makes it even more mysterious and puzzling.
