The most effective way to capture white stripes is as follows:

First, choose the weather for fishing.

In order to get an ideal harvest, it is very important to choose the right weather. Although white stripes are more active when the temperature rises, there are still differences in weather selection compared with crucian carp fishing.

I find that rainy days are not as good as sunny days. On sunny days, the sunshine is stronger, the water temperature is higher, the white stripes will be more active, and even swim to the surface to feed. Of course, it doesn't mean that you can't catch white bars at all on rainy days. Every time you go fishing, there is a certain probability. Just like when it is sunny in summer, the biting hook of crucian carp is weak, but there are also fishing friends connecting rods.

Rainy days are not particularly suitable for fishing white stripes, and windy days are not ideal (a breeze is fine). The main reason is that white grass belongs to planktonic species, so the water temperature in planktonic species has a great influence on its foraging and activities. If the wind and rain cause the water temperature to drop, the white bars may hide or swim to deeper waters.

Second, choose the right fishing position.

In the choice of fishing position, I think fishing for white stripes is similar to fishing for silver carp and bighead carp. You should find some open and deep places. Even if I choose to drift or even fish in Shui Pi, the overall water depth is still relatively deep, which is my experience.

In some outlets, that is, where the water is constantly flowing, white bars like to gather. The dissolved oxygen content here is high and the food is abundant. However, it may not be appropriate to use fishing poles in these places. You can consider using a throwing rod and a seven-star hook.

Third, the choice of fishing tackle

1, fishing rod:

Theoretically, the shorter the fishing rod, the better. Personally, I suggest to choose a fishing rod below 4.5 meters (excluding 4.5 meters), because fishing for white bars requires frequent operation, and the fishing rod will be very tired if it is too long. Even if you don't feel tired, your body will tell you honestly, and the later operation will naturally slow down.

2. Line group:

Theoretically, the thinner the line, the better. Some people will use a combination of 0.4+0.2 or 0.6+0.3 to catch white bars. Thin lines are definitely more effective, but in practice, I won't use such thin lines. Even if I am a professional white-striped fisherman, I am the most careful with a dividing line of 0.4, which is generally around 0.6. As for the main line, choose 0.8 or 1.0.

Fourthly, there are two reasons for using thicker lines:

1, if I don't have a mouth when I drift, I'll just change it to bottom fishing. When fishing crucian carp or eel normally, my most commonly used combination is 1+0.6.

In order to improve efficiency, you must use indwelling needle. Fly with too thin thread, the injury rate is high, especially for novices (because the normal flying hook contacts the needle, novices often contact with the thread first).

Five, the choice of hook:

As for the size of the hook, take the sleeve hook as an example, you can use 1 or No.2, and if the thread is thin, you can choose No.5. However, it should be noted that some people like to catch ears of wheat or grains of wheat, so they will choose very small hooks, because the ears of wheat and grains of wheat are smaller and their mouths are smaller. But I think the number one or number two hook is enough for white stripes.

Choice of six floats:

When fishing floats, it's best to choose a float with a short overall length, because it can stand up faster and receive signals. If you are fishing underwater, or the depth of the fish drift exceeds 1.5 meters, then you can choose the long-tailed jujube pit drift. This can better capture the signal.

Seven, the choice of bait

You don't need to make a nest when fishing white strips, and you can lure fish completely by the frequency and atomization of bait. So, I won't discuss nesting in detail. If you really want to use nest materials, you can choose powdery commercial nest materials, rapeseed cakes or dried peanuts. Don't put too much at a time, just replenish it regularly.

As for the bait, I suggest to choose the bait with small specific gravity, good atomization effect, fine particles and a certain fishy smell. So I personally like to use bait such as No.4 crucian carp and No.6 crucian carp. I have used this formula for many years, and it is also suitable for fishing small crucian carp.

Of course, there are many other choices in the market, such as Tianyuan, Red Storm, China's small powder bait, small yellow bait and so on. There are many kinds, so I won't list them one by one.

Eight, the choice of fishing depth

Usually, the main fishing floats, and the depth is between 0.5m-1.5m. I prefer to fish in the water layer around1m. But when fishing, the water layer is not fixed. If you find that the fishing is shallow at first, such as 0.5 meters, but there is no mouth and there is no movement on the water, you must look deep.

On the contrary, if you start fishing at 1.5 meters or at the bottom of the water, but you can't turn over immediately after floating in the water and keep shaking on the water, it means that the fish are cutting food in shallow water. Shallow fishing is needed at this time.

Fishing method
