Unless relatives and friends are in the same city, you can only visit relatives during the long vacation, so there is no need to think too much.

UW itself is of course a first-class public school, but I don't know anyone who likes the weather in Seattle except Xu Zhimo. It rains on 100 a year, and it is cloudy on 100 a year with little sun. People who like outdoor sports should definitely stay away. Next to Owen is the seaside of Newport, which is not too hot. If the weather in Irvine is bad, then America can't live any longer, so we can only live in Cannes, France.

If money is not a problem and you don't mind the decline of word of mouth year after year, BU is also a good choice. I'm not sure what the vision and platform downstairs is, but if BU is close to Harvard or MIT, we can get the aristocratic atmosphere of these schools and see the students with their noses up, then I agree that BU does have this vision and platform. However, if you want to infiltrate famous teachers' lectures, the Internet is so developed in 2 1 century that Coursera, large-scale open online courses and Udemy all have free or very cheap master courses, so you can surf the Internet in the dormitory. You can also find things in Princeton, Stanford and Yale. Why go from Boston University to Harvard or MIT? As for the exchange programs inside and outside the class, there are indeed many buses, but they are all bought by private school students themselves, and a penny is worth a penny.

UIUC was indeed an absolutely first-class public school many years ago, but its ranking has been declining in the past decade. The admission rate of 20 12 has reached 67. 1%, but the registration rate has dropped to 37.8%. These two figures are not very beautiful. Stupid UIUC is the guarantee of most good students. Unless you particularly like the small city atmosphere in Urbana, don't consider it.
