How to prevent corrosion, moisture and insects on wooden floor?

Use moisture-proof pads:

Most floors will be covered with a layer of moisture-proof mat on the keel before paving, which will be much better. As long as you keep the floor and wooden keel dry, you don't need much material. Before the floor enters the site, open the packing box in a well-ventilated place for ventilation, and pay more attention to water accumulation at ordinary times, so that the board will not be affected with damp. Of course, as long as it is not wet, there will be no bugs.

Place camphor wood:

Camphor tree has insect-proof function, and the smell of wood itself is harmless to people. Someone once cut the roots of Cinnamomum camphora at home and put it in his garage. Although the underground garage is damp, it still has no musty smell. So it's not a problem to put it under the wooden floor. Now people usually scatter it with small pieces of camphor or sawdust.

Zanthoxylum bungeanum:

Zanthoxylum bungeanum can be used as seasoning because of its special smell, but Zanthoxylum bungeanum also has insect-proof function. Many owners use pepper to prevent insects under the floor. Although it can't prevent moisture, as long as the water content reaches the standard, putting some pepper will always have a certain effect.

Leaf smoke:

This is an indigenous method. The older generation can't afford cigarettes, so they smoke this kind of tobacco. Tobacco leaves can be scattered under the wooden floor to prevent moisture and insects. The floormen did say that this method could be used.

The first is material selection. At present, the wooden floor sold in the market generally goes through three processes of high-pressure drying, setting and painting, so that all kinds of tree worms and eggs carried by the wood itself are basically eliminated. When selecting, only focus on those without insect eyes, mildew spots and scars, and whose water content reaches the national standard (about 8% to 13%). In addition, it is advisable to choose hardwood floors with small deformation. Before construction, it is best to enter the site in advance, put it in a well-ventilated place, and open the packing box for ventilation. In the rainy season, more attention should be paid to ventilation. First, it can release the paint smell of the wooden floor; Second, through ventilation, try to reduce the moisture brought by rainy weather to the wooden floor, and reduce the problems such as deformation, bulging and seam width that may be brought about in use.

After the wooden floor is paved, it is best to use it for a period of time before waxing, also called sealing wax. In this way, the residual moisture in the construction can be volatilized as much as possible, and the service life of the wood floor can be prolonged. Finally, before laying the blank board (big core board or 10cm board), level the ground with wooden keel, divide the blank board into specifications of 1200×600, and reserve a joint of 1cm between each blank board, so that the moisture in the original ground can be easily dispersed and the bulging phenomenon of the wooden floor can be prevented. Clean up the soil residue on the ground and sprinkle some insect repellent appropriately to prevent the breeding of regenerated insects (mites, etc.). Consumers should also pay attention to the weakness of wood floors that are not fireproof and waterproof. It is best not to spread wooden floors in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room to avoid unnecessary trouble.
