During the longest National Day in history, some friends and I had an impulse to go to go on road trip, Tibet with the pioneers of Chevrolet. It took 12 days, and the Sichuan-Tibet line entered and the Qinghai-Tibet line left. The journey was nearly 6,000 kilometers, which allowed us to harvest beautiful scenery and various adventures. The shock of this road has turned into a deep brand, engraved on the long scroll of life, once again confirming that sentence: the most beautiful scenery is always on the road.

It is 2000 kilometers from Chengdu to Lhasa. In order to avoid the holiday rush, we chose to leave Chengdu a few days in advance. On the morning of departure, it was rainy and rainy. Some friends in the same trade read the weather forecast and said that the Sichuan-Tibet line has been raining continuously these days, and some places even have sleet, but we have always adhered to the style of rain or shine. How can rain and snow drive away our pilgrimage?

Not long after, we drove the pioneers to Chengya Expressway, and now the Sichuan-Tibet Expressway can go all the way to Kangding, the city of love songs. At high speed, Pioneer 2.0T turbocharged engine shows excellent dynamic performance. When the traffic is low, I try to accelerate the floor oil, and the transmission responds quickly. As soon as I stepped on the accelerator, the transmission quickly dropped several gears to accelerate, and the feeling of pushing back immediately came. The wide tires of 265/45R2 1 release strong grip, and there is no slippage and tire squeal. Because of the high speed, I quickly turned off the throttle and coasted to 120km/h by inertia, and then started the ACC full-speed adaptive cruise system to free my feet and save my strength for this long journey. The maximum power of 174kW/5000rpm and the peak torque of 350Nm/ 1500-4000rpm are more than enough for a 2-ton car and four adults with full luggage.

Pioneer matches GM's latest 9-speed automatic manual transmission. The ninth gear can make the transmission ratio wider, provide low gear and large torque when off-road, and realize low engine speed when cruising at high speed. Cruise 120km/h, engine speed less than 2000rpm. Such a low speed is good for fuel economy.

It is worth mentioning that Pioneer's electronic power-assisted direction is moderate, and there is no pressure to drive for a long time. Compared with the sense of direction, the forerunner's brake is heavier, and it needs to step harder to have a good braking effect, and may need to adapt to the ladies. However, compared with European SUVs, anyone will think that Pioneer has good maneuverability.

We got off the expressway, had lunch in Luding, visited Luding Bridge, then got off the expressway and soon arrived in Kangding. Since Kangding, the Sichuan-Tibet Expressway in Sichuan has ended and officially entered the non-expressway section of 3 18 National Highway in Sichuan. In fact, even on non-highway sections, the road conditions are very good. The speed of flat asphalt road is not slow, and it can often run against the speed limit of 80 km/h.

Along the way, I easily came to Zheduo Mountain, the first snow mountain on the Sichuan-Tibet line at an altitude of more than 4,000 meters. High altitude has a great influence on people's health, and friends in the same trade are worried about high rebellion. I am more worried about whether the pioneers will be "high rebellion". What's more troublesome is that when climbing a mountain, the higher you go, the more it rains. After an altitude of more than 3500 meters, it began to snow again, and the grass on the roadside was covered with a layer of snow.

Facing the slippery road surface, the Michelin tires matched by the pioneers show good drainage, and there is not much slippery feeling when running on the stagnant water, which makes me feel a lot more practical. When two trucks meet at a bend, they have to slowly cross each other, which seriously reduces traffic efficiency and often leads to congestion. Next to Panshan Road, there is occasionally a rotten road that has been in disrepair for a long time. This is a temporary emergency passage. The potholes and dirt roads are soft and muddy after being washed by rain. If you are not careful, you will get stuck in the car. There are always more than a dozen cars before and after, and only a few hard-core off-road vehicles turn up. At first, I didn't know whether the pioneer was competent or not, and I hesitated to go up, but I thought that the pioneer also had a four-wheel drive mode, so why not take this opportunity to try it.

Pioneers are equipped with AWD timely four-wheel drive system and RS engine. The rear axle has double clutch function, and both sides have clutches to control the torque independently, which can realize the continuous distribution of the torque of the left and right rear wheels between 100:0-0: 100, and improve the ability to get out of trouble. Every time you start, the four wheels will idle more or less when you lightly step on the accelerator, but soon the four-wheel drive system will distribute the torque reasonably. Coupled with the "off-road" mode in the all-road driving mode and the strong grip of Michelin tires, you will move forward at a constant speed with 1 gear, which is slow but stable and reassuring. In the end, the snow chains, towing ropes and sappers shovels that came with the car were useless once, and we easily passed several kilometers of rotten roads without even getting off the bus once.

It is getting dark. After crossing Zheduo Mountain, we have to pass xinduqiao at an altitude of 3,600 meters and Gaoersi Mountain at an altitude of 4,400 meters. The traffic volume is less than before, and the speed is much faster. However, when driving at high altitude, the anti-backlash ability of the engine is very demanding. However, Pioneer's 2.0T engine has no obvious power shortage in the high altitude environment above 4000 meters. Accelerated overtaking on the ramp, the engine still has a good enthusiasm for the response of the throttle, and it is also handy to accelerate overtaking.

02? The most comfortable posture, the most beautiful scenery

On the whole Sichuan-Tibet line, Yajiang and Batang have the lowest elevation. In order to avoid the serious resistance of passengers in the same car, we chose to live in Yajiang on the first day. Early the next morning, in order to avoid the restriction from Yajiang to Litang, we set off after 5 o'clock. Because we got up early, we had a smooth journey. When we were 8 kilometers away from Balong on the border of Sichuan and Tibet, we met the unpaved gravel road again.

The front car raised dust all over the sky, and the pioneers we drove were also shrouded in it. Fortunately, its sealing is good. After the internal circulation and negative ion purification are started, there is no dust and odor in the car. At the same time, Pioneer's NVH is also excellent. Driving on the gravel road, there is not much noise and engine noise in the car, and the comfort is very good. After careful study, it was found that Pioneer used a large area of sound insulation cotton under the hood, and the door frame also used sealant twice. Pioneer came standard with active noise reduction. These are the secrets of pioneer's sound insulation effect.

After passing through Zhubalong Township, he officially entered Tibet. Not long after I came out of Batang, there was always Jinsha River by the roadside. It is said that this is a river. In fact, the river is very narrow, just like a small river, and the river is also very muddy. There are no trees on the mountain by the river, and the exposed rocks and low shrubs are intertwined, which is particularly desolate. The source of any great river originates in this way, and little by little it merges into rivers and seas, highlighting the greatness of the Yangtze River.

After resting in Mangkang the next night, we embarked on a journey again. In fact, Mangkang is 3800 meters above sea level, and none of us have a good rest. Maybe it's high opposition. The window is full of beautiful scenery, and the mountains in front of us are shining in the sun, arrogant and cold. Suddenly I saw a dazzling white in the distance. Is it white clouds or snowy mountains? Drive on, and I am ecstatic. It's a snowy mountain peak, creating a completely different world scenery. Entering this world, I really feel how high the sky is, how wide the land is, how strange the mountains are, and how brilliant the sunshine is.

From Mangkang to Ranwu, I drove pioneers over mountains, sometimes mountains, sometimes canyons, and I was very happy. We stayed in Ranwu Town for the third night as planned, and the hotel was on Ranwu Lake. The picturesque scenery on the lake made us too excited to sleep. Ranwu Lake is 3850 meters above sea level and covers an area of 22 square kilometers. Calm lake surface, distant mountains, snow-white glaciers, green lakes, floating edges and lush forests are a kind of natural and transcendental beauty.

It's 750 kilometers from Ranwu Town to Lhasa, and it only takes us 1 day to get there. In this process, the car system really helped us a lot. For example, turn on the built-in cool dog music by voice, enjoy the beautiful scenery while listening to the song, and relieve our boredom on the road. Because of the opening of Tongmai Bridge and the completion of Linla Highway, the travel time has been greatly shortened. Linla Highway is a high-grade highway with a speed limit of 100km/h, which is no different from the highway we usually run. The 390km distance is free and very cool. The only regret is that Milla Mountain Pass (50 13m above sea level), the highest elevation on the Sichuan-Tibet line, was also replaced by the 5.8km long Milla Mountain Tunnel on Linla Highway, which reduced the difficulty of self-driving on the Sichuan-Tibet line by several grades and missed the beautiful scenery of Milla Mountain Pass.

03? Pilgrimage, Harmony between Man and Nature

After passing the Lhasa checkpoint at 9 pm, we merged into the traffic of the city. The brightly lit Lhasa is full of traffic. During our few days in Tibet, we drove the pioneers to fully appreciate the scenery of the snowy plateau: whether it is the mysterious Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Norbulingka, or the legendary wife of Nyainqentanglha Mountain, Namtso, the winding and gentle Yang Zhuo Yongcuo, they are all conveying a kind of beauty of returning to nature and harmony between man and nature to people in the past.

In the distance, it is covered with snow and clouds, and the blue lake and the majestic snow-capped mountains cover each other. This clear world has an imposing manner. Damei Tibet is really harmonious with this atmospheric SUV around it. The pioneer car is nearly 5 meters long. This big guy looks like a burly tough guy from a distance, which provides the strongest guarantee for us to explore the unknown. Pioneer's spacious interior space also makes our trip very comfortable. In a word, during the whole 6000km long-distance self-driving, no one has any objection to Pioneer's interior space. Moreover, because we also packed a lot of luggage on this trip, we put down the vacant third row of seats electrically, which expanded the storage space. I have to say that the space in the trunk of Pioneer is really good. Even if we go further, Pioneer can cope perfectly. In Lhasa, in addition to the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and other special attractions that must be visited, there is also a must-see project to watch the large-scale real-life drama Princess Wencheng, which is a magnificent and soul-shaking classic epic of Tibetan culture. Under the bright starry sky of the plateau sanctuary, the live drama completely restored the historical picture of Princess Wencheng and the Tubo king Songzan Gambu in the Tang Dynasty, reproduced the long journey and tortuous mental journey of Princess Wencheng, interpreted the love legend of the Tang Dynasty by modern artistic means such as lighting and dancing beautifully, and sang the touching history of Han, Tibet and beauty.

Live performances give people the enjoyment of stage art, while cars always show the beauty of industrial art, take the pioneers in front of them as an example. The large air intake grille has a stable atmosphere, which exudes a fashionable and elegant artistic atmosphere under the sharp LED daytime running lights. The waistline and taillights that extend from both sides of the hood and fender to the tail and gradually rise are natural, which makes the side and tail of the car look domineering and gives people a sense of stability.

This sense of stability not only comes from appearance, but also depends on the strong skeleton of pioneers, which is also the most firm source of confidence for our long journey. On the way back from my trip to Tibet, I took the Qinghai-Tibet Line of National Highway 109, 830km from Naqu to Golmud, with a section of asphalt road of about 500-600 km in the middle. Because of the plateau frozen soil, ultra-strong ultraviolet rays and large temperature difference between day and night, there are craters and gullies everywhere. As long as the speed is fast, the car will fly if you are not careful.

On this road full of traps, the chassis skill of the Chevrolet Trailblazer has been fully demonstrated. The suspension system of the former McPherson rear five-bar linkage is very tough, unlike the feeling of "soft-footed crabs" that many urban SUVs of the same level drive on rotten roads. Although the pioneer's body is tall and heavy, the roll in the corner is not obvious, which is completely within a reasonable range. Don't think that the suspension will bump if the support force is enough. In fact, in most potholes, drivers and passengers do not feel too much vibration in the car, because they are basically eliminated by tires, suspension and seats. Even if you occasionally encounter a big pit, there will be a situation where the speed is too fast and the four wheels fly off the road. When landing, the compression amplitude of the suspension will not be exaggerated, and the body can be restored to a stable state only by bumping up and down 1-2 times. To tell the truth, if the pioneers didn't have such a rigid and fast-absorbing suspension and such a long rotten road, even if there was nothing wrong with the car, my friend and I would have some problems with the cervical vertebrae and lumbar vertebrae.

There is also a 1800km expressway from Golmud to Chengdu. We spent two days visiting Chaka Salt Lake and Qinghai Lake along the way. We ate roast lamb chops in Xining and the most authentic beef Lamian Noodles in Lanzhou. Compared with the road ahead, the 1/3 expressway behind is extremely easy to drive.

Thanks again for this 2.0T engine on the return trip, which has three-stage intelligent cylinder changing technology (four-cylinder surge, four-cylinder high efficiency and two-cylinder smooth operation). In the case of high-speed cruise, the engine will automatically switch to two cylinders to further reduce fuel consumption, and the switching is very smooth, and the switching process is completely imperceptible. Because of this, the average fuel consumption is 100 kilometers in road trip under the comprehensive road conditions in Tibet (high-speed, bad roads, cross-country, urban areas, congestion, national roads, mountain roads, etc.). ) It's only 9.2L, which is very fuel-efficient, and effectively saves us time to refuel and find a gas station.
