What happens when the engine temperature is too high?

Excessive engine temperature will damage many parts of the engine, including piston, piston ring, piston pin, cylinder gasket, large and small tiles, intake and exhaust valves, oil seal, cylinder head, cylinder block and so on. If the cover or cylinder is deformed or broken, the engine will be scrapped. Because the normal working temperature of the engine is about 87~ 102 degrees from the water temperature meter, the highest temperature inside the engine can reach 1500~ 1800 degrees. This temperature appears after ignition in the cylinder, and then drops rapidly to about 500 degrees when inhaling. In addition, if the engine temperature is too high, the engine oil may be diluted or deteriorated, resulting in air resistance in the oil supply system, ignition coils, spark plugs, high-voltage lines, etc. It may burn, which will reduce the output power of the engine and even knock. Excessive engine temperature will cause the following problems: 1. Vehicles driving on dirt roads and muddy roads for a long time will have dirt attached to the radiator, which will affect the heat dissipation effect for a long time and cause the water temperature to be too high; 2. If the thermostat doesn't work normally, it may also cause the engine temperature to be too high. It is usually judged according to the temperature difference between the upper and lower water pipes connected by the thermostat. When the temperature difference between the two water pipes is large, it can be judged that the thermostat does not work; 3. Air resistance will be formed when there is air in the cooling system, which will lead to poor cooling water circulation and high engine temperature; 4. The weather is hot in summer, the car runs at high temperature for a long time, and the water tank is easy to "boil". That is to say, the temperature of antifreeze exceeds its boiling point. It is suggested to add or replace antifreeze before entering summer.
