When can wheat diseases and insect pests in northern Jiangsu be controlled?

April is a crucial period for wheat field management and for determining the number of grains per ear. With the rising temperature, a large number of pests and diseases will occur. Therefore, in order to thoroughly implement wheat field management, we must focus on the prevention and control of pests and diseases, and promote all field management measures in place as a whole.

The following is about the prevention and control of wheat scab, ear aphid and midge, so that everyone can understand the current prevention and control methods of wheat diseases and insect pests.

1, scab.

Prevention period: in the middle and late April, the early flowering period of wheat along the Huaihe River and its south (5%- 10% flowering period). According to the coincidence of flowering period and rain, the central and southern areas of Huaibei should take precautions according to local conditions.

Selection of pesticides: Choose pesticides with good permeability, rain erosion resistance and persistence, and use 40% carbendazim SC150g, 80% carbendazim WP 80g, 36% carbendazim triadimefon SC150g, or 42% metsulfuron WP 80g per mu.

Control method: The motor sprayer sprays water15kg per mu, and the manual sprayer sprays water 30-40kg per mu, which can control leaf blight at the same time.

Precautions: When it is rainy in flowering period, it should be sprayed again after 7 days.

2. Ear aphid.

Control period: late April.

Control index: the occurrence of wheat aphid in the field is 800/ 100 plants.

Selection of chemicals: 20g of 25% pymetrozine wettable powder, 30g of 5% acetamiprid wettable powder, 40g of 10% imidacloprid wettable powder or 20g of 24% imidacloprid wettable powder against aphids are used per mu.

Control methods: The motorized sprayer sprays water15kg per mu, and the manual sprayer sprays water 30-40kg per mu, which can also control Laodelphax striatellus in wheat fields.

3. midges.

Control period: late April (adult peak period).

Control index: 30 adults/10 multi-network in peak period.

Selection of chemicals: 75g of phoxim active ingredient and 15kg fine soil are mixed per mu to control imidapril, and the pupae are killed by pulling wheat ears with ropes or beating with bamboo poles. Use 75 ml of 50% fenthion EC or 50 ml of 4.5% beta-cypermethrin EC per mu.

Prevention and control methods: the motor sprayer sprays water per mu 15 kg, and the manual sprayer sprays water per mu 30-40 kg.

Matters needing attention: During the peak period of middle pupae (around April 15), 200 ml of 40% phoxim EC and 20 kg of fine soil are mixed evenly in the wheat field, and the wheat ears are pulled with ropes or bamboo poles, so that the medicine can be buried or the insect pupae can be killed. It is best to water the medicine after application or before it rains.

4. At the same time, do a good job in the prevention and control of powdery mildew, leaf rust and leaf blight. Triadimefon is used to control powdery mildew and leaf rust, and mancozeb is used to control leaf blight.

It is best to combine disease prevention and insect control with foliar spraying. Mix 1% urea and 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate per mu, or add 50 grams of ecological active fertilizer, or add 25 grams of American Star and 50 kilograms of water for foliar spraying. Do a good job of spraying three defenses: use 36% polyketone emulsion 140 g and add 24% pyrazine per mu.

Spray 20g of anti-wetting powder,150g of potassium dihydrogen phosphate and15kg of water with a motorized sprayer, and spray 30-40kg of water with a manual sprayer to prevent diseases, insects and premature aging.
