Control of haze weather

Due to the rapid growth of motor vehicles in China, urban air pollution is changing from soot pollution to mixed pollution of soot and motor vehicles, and smog weather frequently occurs in some large and medium-sized cities. Motor vehicle pollution causes frequent smog weather in large and medium-sized cities.

The quality of oil used in motor vehicles in China is low and the emission level is not high. Motor vehicles have become an important source of pollution in large and medium-sized cities, which directly leads to the increase of smog weather in cities and the increase of automobile exhaust pollution in cities.

The so-called haze weather means that the air contains a lot of nitrogen oxides and particulate matter, which leads to low visibility. Under unfavorable meteorological conditions, China's regional haze weather is frequent. Haze weather is directly related to the sulfur content of vehicle fuel in China, which is much higher than that in developed countries in Europe and America. According to the analysis of statistical data, the emission level of newly produced motor vehicles in China is more than 8 years behind that of developed countries in Europe and America, the emission of automobile hydroxide is 3.5 times that of the United States, and the emission standard of agricultural vehicles is at least 20 years behind that of Europe.

In 2005, in many cities in the north and south of China, vehicle pollutants have become an important source of pollution. Since 2006, the emissions of particulate matter and toxic and harmful substances in China have been increasing. The survey shows that the smog weather in Beijing has been increasing year by year in recent years. On both sides of roads in Beijing, the per capita hourly intake of pollutants in the traffic microenvironment is about five times that of Beijing as a whole, which leads to an upward trend in the incidence of respiratory diseases.

Improving urban air quality needs to fundamentally reverse the economic development model. The environmental protection department will strengthen the emission control of newly produced vehicles, meet the European and American standards in stages, and strengthen the management of the implementation of various vehicle standards.
