1, hot climate

The climate in Xishuangbanna is very hot and humid. Due to the geographical location, Xishuangbanna is often influenced by the tropical rain forest climate, which leads to the weather here is usually very humid and hot. In summer, the temperature is usually above 30 degrees Celsius and the humidity is very high, so outdoor sports are very difficult and even dangerous. In addition, due to the heavy rainfall, natural disasters such as floods and mudslides often occur in Xishuangbanna during the rainy season, which brings great security risks to tourists.

2. The traffic is inconvenient

Due to its remote geographical location, the traffic in Xishuangbanna is not very convenient. Although Xishuangbanna has an airport and a railway station, it is difficult for tourists to get here because of the imperfect transportation hub and geographical restrictions. Xishuangbanna is divided by Lancang River Fault, which spans Tanggula-Changdu-Lanping-Simao and Gongshan-Tengchong fold systems. The former is Banpo anticlinorium and Dehua syncline, and the latter is located at the southeast end of Lincang-Menghai fold system.

Banpo anticlinorium is dominated by Mesozoic flysch formation-like, intermediate-acidic and intermediate-basic volcanic formations, accompanied by molasses formations, with red formations exposed sporadically and Cenozoic molasses formations unconformity. Dehua syncline and Mesozoic red strata are widely distributed, some of which are molasse strata, carbonate strata and coal-bearing clastic rocks. At the southeast end of Lincang-Menghai fold, Proterozoic Lancang Group and Damenglong metamorphic rocks are exposed, and the granite basement of Variscan-Indosinian Menghai occupies a lot of space.
