Does the aperture around the moon indicate rain?

When the weather is going to get worse, there is usually a faint cloud in the sky, which is a bit like a bird's feather and is called cirrus cloud. Soon, there will be a rainy cirrostratus under the cirrus clouds.

Cirrostratus usually appears at an altitude of more than 6 kilometers, where the temperature is very low, and all the water droplets in the clouds turn into small ice crystals with hexagonal prisms. When the moonlight passes through the clouds and touches small ice crystals, it will be refracted, so that we can see a white circle around the moon, which is called lunar halo in meteorology.

The appearance of lunar halo shows that this area is under the control of cold air and the weather is relatively good. However, hundreds of kilometers away from here, there is a warm and humid air stream confronting the cold air. It is moving here, and its striker has reached the high altitude here. Then, the clouds became thicker and lower, and the wind gradually strengthened. It will rain soon.
