Nanning: A new typhoon is generated! The weather in Guangxi will be mainly cloudy in the next few days.

Controlled by the subtropical high, there is no obvious heavy precipitation in Guangxi, and most areas are still dominated by cloudy weather.

This year's typhoon puppy 14 was born in the northwest Pacific Ocean on the morning of September 30th. At 5: 00 a.m. on/KOOC-0/June/KOOC-0/day, its center was located on the northwest Pacific Ocean about/KOOC-0/0/0 km east of Manila, Philippines, and the maximum wind force near the center was 8 (20m/s).

It is estimated that it will move to the north-north direction at the speed of10 ~15km per hour, and it will turn to the west direction on the 3rd, and its intensity will gradually increase, and the strongest can reach the strong typhoon level. On the 5th, it will move into the northeastern part of the South China Sea, and then approach the coastal area from western Guangdong to eastern Hainan Island, and its intensity will gradually weaken. Typhoon "Puppy" may affect the coastal areas of South China in the latter part of the holiday, when the sunny and hot weather in South China is expected to be alleviated.

Typhoon characteristics

Typhoon "Puppy" developed vigorously, with strong peak intensity and many peaks. 65438/kloc-0 was upgraded to super typhoon level (16,52m/s) by the Central Meteorological Observatory on the evening of October 2nd, becoming another super typhoon in 2023 recognized by the Central Meteorological Observatory. Since then, although it weakened to a strong typhoon level on June 3, 10, it developed again on June 4 and was upgraded to a super typhoon level again by the Central Meteorological Observatory that night, and developed into a super typhoon twice.

According to Zhang Ling, chief forecaster of the Central Meteorological Observatory, this is a common phenomenon in terms of typhoon intensity. On the evening of 4th, when "Puppy" approached Taiwan Province Province of China, its power, heat and ocean transportation conditions were good and it was in a favorable environment.

The strength of the "puppy" has increased again. 10 On June 6th, "Puppy" developed again in the South China Sea. 16/7 was upgraded to a strong typhoon by the Central Meteorological Observatory again, which was the third peak of its intensity.
