Currently, about 100,000 kilograms of clams are landed on Hongdao every day. The clam is not at its fattest yet. It is estimated that clams will be fatter around May Day and will be on the market in large quantities.

According to reports, the current wholesale price of Hongdao clams is 3.2 to 3.5 yuan per catty, which is about one yuan cheaper than in previous years. As the temperature gradually rises, red island clams also usher in a rapid "fattening period." It is expected that around May Day, the meat of the clams will be more plump, and citizens can enjoy the delicious taste of the Hongdao clams.

The local clam festival held for fifteen consecutive years has also helped expand the popularity of Hongdao clams.
