Why does the word "Edit" appear on the Apple 5S lock screen when you swipe left?

1. This is the newly added "Widget plug-in" function after Apple's 5S mobile phone was upgraded to iOS10. Swipe right in the lock screen state to open "Today View", where you can view various Widget plug-ins without unlocking. You can open the app and check the weather.

2. You can add, close or adjust the position of the Widget plug-in:
