What is it like to go to university in Yunnan?

In 2011, the sun was shining brightly, and I dragged my luggage to Yunnan Normal University. The stone tablet at the door is really impressive. I don’t know where it came from to shape such a big stone. It must have taken a lot of effort.

The days of military training are a bit boring. For the weather in Yunnan, you never need to look at the weather forecast. Why do people in Yunnan say that when looking at the weather, they just look up and look at the clouds? Because during military training, we got wet many times. A small cloud floated over, and the downpour poured from the top of your head to the soles of your feet. The instructor finally formed a team to take shelter from the rain. You just ran to hide from the rain, and that cloud Floated over leisurely. We continued to dry our newly soaked camouflage uniforms and wet shoes in the hot sun, and they dried in a while. What I remember most clearly is that on the night of August 15th, under the round moon, instead of eating moon cakes and singing songs, we squatted shivering one by one on the playground, and were punished by the instructor for squatting for about an hour. The scenery was really nice, the playground was dark and full of flowers, the moon was full, and the pretty little girl's pear blossoms were covered with rain.

Because we are art students, our teachers often take us to sketch near the Normal University. At noon, we set off from the small gate on the west side of the Normal University. We walked past the cactus as tall as a person for more than half an hour and arrived at the sparkling small reservoir. We played with the water and picked the small scenery. It felt like picking flowers. Have you ever seen it? Once you have painted it, you will take back the scenery. The teacher in the sketching class was the most handsome male teacher in the college. He had such a personality and kept a python. One day he asked us, how about we draw nudes? Half of my face turned red, and I thought for a moment, "The college leaders will definitely not agree..."

In April and May, I sketched and went to Lijiang and Shuhe... What impressed me most was that we went to Shangri-La. When I arrived at Pudacuo National Park, I sighed, it’s so damn cold! In Pudacuo at the end of April and the beginning of May, the flowers had not bloomed, the grass had not grown, and all we passed along the way were small bare tree trunks. Everyone caught a cold after coming back...

Every year before and after the normal university's winter vacation, the cherry blossoms bloom most vigorously. Clusters of rose-pink cherry blossoms bloom under the blue sky, and time quietly stands still. , for fear of disturbing this peaceful scenery. Normal University has no shortage of flowers, whether they are class flowers, school flowers or fresh flowers; Polytechnic University has no shortage of grass, class flowers, school flowers and fresh grass. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom in Red Candle Square, in summer, bayberries ripen beside the small pond, in autumn, pomegranates bend the branches, and in winter, firecrackers decorate the campus. Don’t miss the wisteria corridor in spring, which is filled with the fragrance of flowers. The wisteria blooms quietly. Sit firmly under the corridor and feel the warm sunshine. I often lament that these flowers and plants have a bad life in Yunnan. They grow non-stop all year round. The flowers and plants in the north can still take a rest in winter. They are really too tired! You can give an award for the best growth! If you have nothing to do, go for a stroll around the campus, lie down in the small back lake, read a book and bask in the sun. You will feel so comfortable that you don’t want to leave. If you are interested, just cut some fruit, spread out a sheet and have a picnic on the grass... ·Go to Nanmen in the evening to eat some Indian flying pancakes, Dai-style grilled fish, and visit roadside stalls. Time just slipped away slowly.

I don’t know that when you graduated, you didn’t invite your classmates to go fishing for shrimp in the small lake behind the library. Let me tell you a little experience. I like the instant noodles flavor of the lake shrimp at the National Normal University. Ham sausage. Find a bamboo pole, tie it to a line, tie instant noodle-flavored ham sausage on one end of the line, and you can catch more than a dozen prawns as long as your index finger in one morning. At about one o'clock at noon, I asked my friends to go to the swimming pool for a while, drink some salt water to quench their thirst, take a dip in the hot spring next to the swimming pool, and have a good sleep after returning.
