Diary of the epidemic
The cumulative number of confirmed cases in Norway? 2383 cases
One-day addition? 186 cases
Medical staff diagnosed? 229 cases? Isolated people? 8822
Hospitalized personnel? 174
The number of cases continued to increase, and the epidemic situation did not turn around, just like other severe European countries. Although the daily increase is far less than that of Italy, Spain, the United States and other big countries, Norway's per capita infection rate is among the best in the world, which makes Norway a hot spot for domestic friends.
As a result, various opinions about Norway in the domestic media have even been hotly searched, ranging from misinterpreting the original intention of the Norwegian Prime Minister to criticizing Norway for being anti-China, and then reaching the conclusion that China should not provide help in the face of the Norwegian epidemic.
We Norwegian Chinese are really in a cold sweat when we see these heartless views on domestic keyboard players. But as a civilian, I am not interested in politics. I just want to tell you some facts about the epidemic.
Many domestic friends may have heard that Norway knows Norway because of the epidemic, but I don't want everyone's initial impression of Norway to be seriously biased.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, many friends have been very concerned about me and my family, told me some practical experiences, asked me about Norway's anti-epidemic information, and also saw the attitude and strategy of the Norwegian government and people towards the epidemic from my epidemic articles.
Today, I want to sort out and summarize the epidemic life in the past month.
From the beginning of the epidemic, the Norwegian government has been preaching that ordinary people don't need to wear masks when facing COVID-19, which is also the initial propaganda direction of other European countries. On the one hand, it may be due to cultural differences between East and West; On the other hand, it is unknown. It may be due to the shortage of Norwegian resources, or it may be due to the underestimation of COVID-19's strength.
So at least so far, no local people have been found to wear masks, even if they go to pharmacies and supermarkets with relatively dense crowds.
But for us Chinese in Norway, we all attach great importance to the epidemic, so we have been trying to take action since the outbreak. Most of my friends wear masks when they go out, especially when they go to supermarkets and pharmacies.
However, according to domestic experience, in order to prevent the spread of the epidemic, wearing a mask is essential. I don't know the next epidemic development, will the Norwegian government advocate wearing masks?
Even in the current severe epidemic, most Norwegian locals have never panicked. If you want to sum it up in one word, it should be: calm down. This is in sharp contrast with the local Norwegian Chinese.
Our local Chinese are very concerned about the Norwegian epidemic, because they know enough about the domestic epidemic and the price paid by the government of China and the people of China to fight the epidemic, so they are very anxious to see whether the government has done nothing in the early stage of the epidemic.
With the severity of the epidemic, the Norwegian government still failed to take the expected measures to stop work and school, and some Norwegian Chinese groups began to panic and began to try to return to chartered flight.
When the Norwegian government announced the suspension of work and classes, and the whole territory was blocked, we in China were more helpless.
However, the calmness of most Norwegians cannot hide the awakening and concern of a small number of people. In fact, some local whistleblowers in Norway warned the Norwegian authorities and people that they must copy China's homework.
As mentioned above, when the number of confirmed cases increased sharply for several days, the Norwegian government announced the suspension of work on the afternoon of COVID-19 16 and on March 12, and then the government issued various policies to deal with the various impacts of work suspension on families and enterprises. Subsequently, on March 16, Norway announced a blockade of the whole territory.
However, in order to ensure the normal operation of Norwegian people's livelihood, many key departments in Norway are still operating normally, especially supermarkets and pharmacies that are most relevant to our people.
In order to ensure that the children of employees in key positions can be taken care of, kindergartens and schools are still open to the children of these key positions, with special examinations and registration, and special personnel to arrange for care. Others are isolated at home like us, and children learn through online classes every day.
Suspension of classes and work stoppage will definitely have an impact on our daily life.
Especially in a family with two employees like ours, we can only work at home and accompany our children, which is much more stressful and chaotic than usual.
Although supermarkets are operating normally, most of us in China still choose to shop online. Although the online supermarket was not sought after before the epidemic, it has now become a popular shopping method, because the delivery time of online shopping has changed from less than 24 hours before to a week now, and the delivery time is longer, and there are few online choices.
So I will go shopping in the supermarket occasionally, and I must wear disposable gloves and masks. At the same time, because the supermarket is only a 3-minute walk from our home, I choose to shop when the supermarket is about to close to avoid crowds.
Public transport in Norway is still running normally, but every passenger has been reminded to keep a certain distance, but personally, we travel mainly by car, so the traffic has little impact.
But for me who often take my children out for a walk, there are many restrictions these days. At first, I could only let my children play at home. Later, when the weather improved, I installed a trampoline in the yard for the first time, and the children's activity space went from indoors to the yard at home. Fortunately, no one around our neighbors came in and out of the yard, so it was relatively easy.
Occasionally, when the sun is shining, we will drive and take our children for a walk far away. Although we will meet passers-by, we will strictly follow the following points: keep a distance from people, never talk to people, try not to touch any public goods, wash our hands with alcohol at any time, and so on.
Disinfecting doors with alcohol and washing hands are all changes after the epidemic. Even you have to wear disposable gloves to take out the garbage, because the classified garbage bins in our community are public, and this housework is basically borne by me alone.
Generally speaking, the shutdown has changed our daily life, but it has not led to some unsolvable facts.
It should be said that in the early days of the epidemic, I personally think that the government did not pay attention to the epidemic, but took a lucky attitude and tried its best to protect the economy from being affected. However, when the epidemic situation in Norway began to get serious and other European countries were in a hurry, the government began to wake up and introduced various coping policies while balancing economic interests. In addition to stopping work, suspending classes and sealing off the country, it also spent 654.38 billion yuan to help domestic enterprises survive the cold winter, and even
The government has paid enough attention to it now, but the development of the epidemic does not depend on human will. The medical staff in Norway have now diagnosed 229 cases and isolated nearly 8,822 cases, which fully shows that the medical staff in Norway are very vulnerable to the protection of COVID-19 and need to change their thinking, material help and improve their knowledge.
At the same time, the segregation policy advocated by the Norwegian government is also surprising.
In addition, the Norwegian government has announced that people with mild symptoms will not be tested.
This makes us worry about the development of the epidemic in Norway.
On the afternoon when the Norwegian government announced the suspension of work and classes, there were long queues at major supermarkets in Norway. This is a rare spectacle in Norway. Isn't this a snapshot or something?
Everyone is a cart. Supermarket shelves have been emptied, fresh vegetables and fruits, flour, bread, noodles, potatoes, eggs, toilet paper, hand sanitizer and other food and daily necessities bear the brunt, and alcohol and disinfectants have been warned out.
However, masks have not been snapped up, because it has long been difficult to buy masks in Norway.
The answer is definitely no, I'm afraid few people stay indoors, because free space is the demand of any normal person unless the government prohibits it.
Behavior is determined by thoughts, and most Norwegians are relatively calm towards COVID-19. Even if the Norwegian government announces that it will stop work and close its doors, it may not be necessary for them. Many families in our community are still visiting, and the children at home are still playing together, although some experts point out that children should not play together at home.
So it is impossible for Norwegian natives to stay indoors.
For us China people in Norway, the view is the same. We should go out as little as possible, and we should not go out if we can. We should wear masks when we go out.
We also go out occasionally, take out the garbage, go shopping in the supermarket occasionally, and drive for a walk occasionally.
We think staying indoors is the best way to fight the epidemic.
This problem cannot be generalized. Everyone has their own practical problems and dilemmas.
For our family of four, there is no plan to return to China for the time being, not to mention that the road to return to China is too difficult, and there are risks of cross-infection. There are more unknown problems that we need to consider ourselves:
(1) For example, when will the epidemic end?
(2) How long is the pause? What about children's education? What about our work?
(3) Which is safer, staying at home or going back to China?
I remember Zhang Wenhong said: Personal protection, social distance, frequent hand washing and disinfection, and wearing a mask, do these things, the possibility of infection is extremely small.
So now we still stay in Norway. When all actions can't stop the spread of the virus, when we need to escape death, I don't think our motherland will leave us.
Write at the end:
In the face of the epidemic, China people share the same fate no matter where they are. Only by being yourself, protecting yourself and adhering to the basic principles of epidemic prevention can we save ourselves from harm, our families from fear and our motherland from greater trouble.
