The old city is 30 meters west of the new canal, which is much larger than the current Nantunji. There are still relics of the old city walls in Silao Village and Cui Jie Village. Due to long-term flood alluvial deposition, wind and rain erosion and man-made destruction, the south, west and east sides are mostly flat with the ground, or have become hills. Only the first section of Beiyuan is relatively complete, with a height of 7m, a width of10m and a length of 215m. The ancient city was built on ancient ruins. After wiping and digging, a large number of thick rope patterns, tiles and mud red pottery pot fragments were unearthed from the upper layer of the site, which were relics of the Han Dynasty. From the cross section of the city wall, it can be divided into three layers: upper, middle and lower. On the lower floor, there are broken pottery pieces with deep feet and strings, sand-covered gray pottery ding (feet), mussels, sickles and other relics. The middle layer is a clear rammed soil layer, with a thickness of 7- 15 cm, and contains relics such as shallow and deep files, thin string pottery pieces and animal bones. The upper floor (including the wall 40 meters east) contains a large number of thick rope board tiles.

The historical sites inside and outside the old town of Nanton include "Guangwutai" and "Zhanxingtai", which were built in the 19th year of the Eastern Han Dynasty (43 years). Liu Xiujin, Guangwu Emperor, had the honor to hold a conference in Southampton and the county government. Shortly thereafter, Guangwutai was built in the north of the city, and an astrological station was built in the city. The octagon is located on Gaofu Island north of Nanton. It is said that Emperor Guangwu of Han Dynasty (Liu Xiu) was chased by Wang Mang's soldiers and thrown into a well. Because of the spider web, he was able to show off, and there are still remnants. The "Building Pavilion" is in Southampton. In the six years of the Three Kingdoms (245), Wen Qin, the secretariat of Yangzhou, and Wu Qibing, the governor of Yangzhou, crossed the river. General Sima Shi and Jingzhou secretariat marched to Nanton, and sometimes there was a big house with food in it. Yangzhou army went to war, but the war was unfavorable and frugal. The ruins of this pavilion still exist during the Qianlong period in the early Qing Dynasty. At that time, it was called one of the eight scenic spots in Xiangcheng, "Geliang Xiaozhong". Rokuonji was founded in the fourth year (505) in the east of Southampton, Tian Liang, and was later destroyed. "Xiao Gong Temple" is outside the east gate of Nanton City, on the south bank of the ancient river. Xiao Gong played an important role in water control, so he built a temple to offer sacrifices (it is recorded in Xiangcheng County Records in the 11th year of Qing Qianlong that the temple should have been built before this). Wuyuan Temple is located in the south gate of Nantun, and the construction time of the temple is unknown. From generation to generation, there are 72 monasteries inside and outside the old town of Yannandong. By the 1920s, there were still more than 10 temples: Guangwu Temple, Luokong Temple, Jiyuan Temple, Dongyue Temple, Shifo Temple, Sanguan Temple, Tiesi Temple, Niangniang Temple, Fire Temple and mosques inside and outside. As it happens, Hua Tuo took several disciples Fan Ahe to the countryside to practice medicine and passed by here. They used earthwork to cure the patients in the local villages of Eastern Xia Lou and Xixiaolou, and controlled the epidemic situation in this area. People all call Hua Tuo "an imperial doctor". Later, Hua Tuo was invited by Cao Cao to treat "headache" and was eventually harmed by Cao Cao.

After Hua Tuo was killed, his disciples collected his body and prepared to transport it back to his hometown Qiao County (now Bozhou, Anhui Province) for burial. When the hearse arrived at the current Huatuosi Village in Xiangcheng County, it was caught in a rainstorm and it rained cats and dogs for several days. The hearse could not move forward and had to be suspended. The news reached the East Building and the West Building. People who were saved by Hua Tuo soon came here in droves, demanding that Hua Tuo be buried here. As soon as Fan left, other disciples began to refuse. Later, they thought that the weather would clear up, the temperature was high, the journey was still far, and they could not stay long without burial, so they agreed. Everyone began to bury a generation of imperial doctor Hua Tuo in a highland on the south bank of Shahe River. On the day of burial, men and women in Shiliba Village held a funeral for Hua Tuo. When piling soil, some were carried in baskets, some were carried in baskets, and some were wrapped in clothes. A big grave was piled for three days and three nights. People call it "Huatuo Tomb". Later generations built a temple for Huatuo in the south of the tomb, which later evolved into Huatuo Temple. The village where Siping lived was also named after "Huatuo Temple Village". Located in the urban area of Moling Town. Lianxi Academy is the highest institution of learning in Xiangcheng County (now the former site of Old Town Middle School). In the third year of Qing Dynasty, Xiangcheng County Records recorded: "In the twenty-five years of Qing Qianlong (1767), because the original Hongyang Academy was gradually lost and the land was low and narrow, magistrate Liang built this academy in the southwest corner of the city. It covers an area of 5,000 square meters and has seventy or eighty lecture halls, study rooms and rooms. " There are academies in the county, which also attach importance to rural studies. Those who are beautiful and cultured in the countryside, since adults and children are salty, have to learn poetic music and encourage each other. ""The Academy is named after Lianxi, which is the symbol of the Red River Old Ruilian. Around the academy, the rainbow water is diverted, the water is planted with lotus (another name for lotus), and the middle embankment is surrounded by willow trees, which are red, fragrant and green, and set each other off. Therefore, it is beneficial for people engaged in business to broaden their thinking and help them sing with long thinking. "At the end of the Qing Dynasty, after the Reform Movement of 1898, it must be a high school in Guangxu for 30 years. During the Republic of China, Xiangcheng Middle School and Xiangcheng Teachers College established this school. Now it is the former site of Old Town Middle School, and there are five original lecture halls in the hospital.

Lianxi Academy was once one of the eight scenic spots in Xiangcheng, and Qingliutang praised it with a poem: "It's raining, the Chu is empty, and a spring breeze stands outside Lianxi Gate. Half a bay of fragrant grass is dark blue, and Mo Mo is light red with rocks. Two ducks are floating on the water, and a fisherman is drifting at the bow. Natural poetry is interested in natural painting and wants to learn from Wei Mo. "
