The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that in the next three days, this cold air will mainly affect the northern part of China, bringing strong winds and cooling. Most areas north of the Huaihe River will drop by 4 ~ 8℃ from west to east, among which, the temperature drop in some areas of northern Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and the central part of Northeast China can reach more than 10℃. There are generally 4 ~ 6 northerly winds in most parts of the north.

Today cold air mainly affects Xinjiang. For example, the highest temperature in Urumqi yesterday 18℃ dropped to less than 5℃ today, and the temperature plummeted. There is little to medium snow or sleet in northern Xinjiang, and there is heavy snow in Tianshan area in northern Xinjiang. Local people need to guard against the adverse effects of snowfall or snow on road traffic.

Tomorrow, cold air will continue to move eastward, affecting western Gansu and Inner Mongolia. By the end of this week, the temperature in North China and Northeast China will also drop. It is expected that cold air will further affect the southern region from 29th to 30th. The meteorological department reminded that after this cold air, the temperature in many places in the north may hit a new low after autumn. People should add clothes in time and take measures to prevent cold and strong winds.
