What is atmospheric pressure?
Short for atmospheric pressure, also called atmospheric pressure. Bear the weight of the atmospheric column per unit area. Meteorology is often expressed in millibars or millimeters of mercury. The standard atmospheric pressure is 10 13.2 mbar, or equivalent to 760 mm high mercury. Because the higher the ground is, the lower the air pressure is, so the height can be calculated according to the vertical change of air pressure. In the horizontal direction, the difference of air pressure will cause airflow, so it is one of the important meteorological elements for analyzing weather forecast.
Atmospheric pressure is also called atmospheric pressure. From the point of view of air molecular motion, it is the result of the comprehensive action of air molecular motion and the gravity field of the earth. Under this comprehensive action, the impact force exerted by many air molecules per unit area on the plane at every moment is expressed as air pressure. Where the density of air molecules is high, the average kinetic energy of air molecules is also high. So the impact is big, so the air pressure is also big.
