What is the difference between Yuanmou and Panzhihua?

Both places are located in Panxi Rift Valley. It has a tropical or subtropical monsoon climate. Yuanmou is 73 kilometers south of Panzhihua, and the annual average temperature is hotter than Panzhihua.

In contrast, Guangtong, Lufeng and Kunming, south of Panzhihua and Yuanmou, have monsoon humid climate, and the annual average temperature is lower than that of Panzhihua and Yuanmou.

Panzhihua city belongs to a variety of climate types from south subtropical zone to north temperate zone, which is called "three-dimensional climate with south subtropical zone as the baseband".
