1. Danzhu Township is located in the southwest of Xianju County. It is a typical mountainous township and one of the six poverty-stricken townships in Xianju County. It has jurisdiction over 27 administrative villages and 119 natural villages. For a long time, due to various factors such as location, resources, and history, Danzhu's agricultural economic structure has been single, and there has been no supporting industry to drive local economic development.

2. In Xianju County, Zhejiang Province, Shuitou Village in Butou Town used to be a well-known poverty-stricken village in the county. The villagers sang this folk song: "Shuizuitou is a remote mountainous place with poor mountains and steep slopes, making it difficult to travel. We have less than half a year of food, so we have to chop wood and burn charcoal to buy oil and salt.” This is a true portrayal of Shuitou Village at that time.

3. Liangtan Village is the only poverty-stricken village in Baita Town and a famous high mountain village in Xianju County. It is surrounded by mountains and has inconvenient transportation. There are about 60 households in the village and a population of more than 200. In the mid-1990s, the per capita annual income in the village was less than 500 yuan. At that time, there was a saying in Liangtan Village: "There are two layers of cloth in the pocket, and the money is not missing; how to get rich, it is difficult for gods to show the way."
